Birthday Adventure 2014: A peek into the Edward Gorey House & Museum. The Elephant House is on Strawberry Lane in Yarmouth Port, MA. A truly hidden gem, the house is filled with a carefully curated collection of Gorey’s things—jewelry, books, sketchbooks, photographs, maps, trinkets, decks of tarot cards, and even his signature fur coat (he had 22 fur coats in total). I had know idea what he was about before entering the house. All that he collected is mirrored in his work. And there’s more secrets to be uncovered. I will be back soon….
