Hi there! I'm Becki, i'm 25 and I come from the glorious place that is Cornwall in the UK. I'm an avid walker, tea drinker, music-listener, dog owner and always up for exploring both the local area and further afield. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people guilty of taking loads of photos and then leaving them on my computer to sit in a folder somewhere destined never to be seen again- This blog is my aim to fix that! My photos are mainly taken on my iPhone, purely because it's normally the first thing that comes to hand but I also use a Nikon Coolpix P500 (When I have it with me!) My photos may not be of the highest quality BUT they show Cornwall and the places I visit as I see them, not enhanced to show a false version of reality. So feel free to have a look, see what I see and enjoy!

This is Carlyon Bay (or Crinnis) Beach. Just 10 years ago this was a bustling holiday spot, the yellow (mustard?) building on the left of the image used to be a nightclub and live music venue, I remember going there when I was at secondary school- to the under 18's nights of course...

Unfortunately the spot now has fallen into ruin through some bad choices and as a result of the recession. What was promised to be renovated into 5* apartments and a huge holiday complex has fallen into disrepair and as someone who knew the area when it was still in full swing this is really sad to see.

And now, let me introduce you to my walking companion! This is Poppy, she's a Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese Terrier cross. She's super cute and loves long walks- unless she's faced with any water (sometimes I wonder if she's actually a cat in disguise?)

Again this photo was taken at Caerhays, she loves it there almost as much as I do!

First up, i think you should know who you're dealing with. This is me, I'm pretty much your average Cornish person, so hi!

This photo was taken yesterday on the Caerhays Estate. It's a beautiful and normally quiet place with lovely grounds and a great beach.

Although the sun was out, it was a deceptively cold day- the wind was bitter. Very glad I took my hat, even the dog was happy to be back in the car after we'd been out for a few hours!
