16. Favorite movie?

That was a rad question.

“Cool question, man.” Beachcomber wasn’t the most subtle Autobot. “Though, I’m not entirely sure what my top hit is; I got a top 100 no problem though. Of course it all depends if it’s ‘Tronian or from Earth. Cause those are on different lists, man.” It kinda had to be when Beachcomber’s #2 Cybertronain flick was longer than Earth’s #34-21.

The buggy realized that he didn’t answer the question. “I don’t know my favorite movie, but I’ve been watching a lotta “Of the Kitchen Sinks” recently, though that’s not a film, and saw “Finding Nemo” the other day. That movie’s coolio, easily on my top 60. __________

19. How do you feel about spark bonding?

“From movies to bonding? Man, at least take a breather.” Not that Beachcomber minded the inquisition. It was a hard question though. Who hadn’t thought about bonding before? Having a family, some rocks, and a nice garden. The seriousness of war tended to burn out most thoughts of romance though. And the buggy had not thought about Spark Bonding for a long, long time.

“The act of it itself is pretty groovy, man. Combining two peeps in the biggest show of love is amazing, no beans about it.” Though honestly, Beachcomber never really thought about what it meant for him. The mech mentally shook his helm, pushing the thoughts out of his processor. It didn’t mater at the now. Though, if he were honest with himself, Beachcomber just nudged it to be deleted.

26. What are you most known for?

Beachcomber laughed and raised his servos up in a mockingly-defensive shrug.

“Honestly man, I thought it was my Geo work. But then a few vorns ago, in a battle, Soundwave said to “get the O2-loving one.”

The mech’s servos flopped down onto his hips and he went akimbo, grin still in place.

“And at that point, you can’t really argue about your rep when a ‘Con says it.”

I do, anon! However, I’m not gonna post it out on here. If you pm me off anon and I know you as a mutual, sure -I suppose that applies to most mutuals I have, actually But until then, sorry! I don’t feel comfortable skyping with people I don’t know! ///OOC

68. Current work duties?

“A far out amount.” The anon caught Beachcomber in one of the rare moments he was actually in the Ark, his quarters no less, and writing a sitrep.

“I do some here, some there, man.” The Ark, in comparison to the old army, was tiny. Every mech had to take on multiple jobs to keep the world turning. Beachcomber couldn’t really think of one mech who was secular anymore, everyone did something outta their mainframe.

“I watch the local life, the least flycatchers nest at the moment. I also work in the labs and do some rad Geology work.. Occasionally a little gopher.” Beachcomber paused in his report; all the interesting geology facts were done and all that was left was boring stuff that wasn’t his bag.

“Though, if you ask Prowl, he’d probably list my desi fun.” Beachcomber jumped into the Ark mainframe and accessed his file with ease, though Prowl wouldn’t be that mellow if he bent the file around.

“So, speakin’ Prowl, my ‘current work duties and designation for Autobot Beachcomber’ is…” The mech squinted at nothing. Some of the file was new and honestly, Beach wasn’t sure if he got promoted or demoted. “Prime Designation: Science, specialist Geology and Xenobiology ; Sub-Designation: Tactical Warfare Specialist in terrestrial locations; Native lifeforms, Organic:Earth Designations, Organic specialist within Xenobiology and Social aspects. Subsection: Environmentalist, Goal: Decrease damage on Earth from Cybertronians.”

The last subsection on Earth Environmentalism was new and far out. It was pretty rad of Prowl to do that -though Prowl would instantly disagree with that statement. Beachcomber vaguely wondered if the new title would mean that he wouldn’t have to share a lab with Perceptor anymore. The mech was pretty neat, but Chemistry and Geology weren’t  exactly solid together in one place.

88. Do you know Primal Vernacular? As well as bird vernacular?

“Totes, man.” Beachcomber laughed lightly as he looked at the medic. “Though, I gotta admit, it’s a little rusty.”

The medic blinked and gave the mini an odd look.

“What man, it’s not that wack.” Beachcomber placed his servos on his hips and stared up at the mech. Though that lapsed pretty quickly as he slouched back against the table with a smile.

“It’s a Xenobology thing, man. The skinny was that the heads of the academy I went to didn’t like Xenos. It was considered a bad, like not good bad, thing. Functionalists and organics, or any non ‘Tron -well upperclass, ‘proper’ Tron, didn’t weren’t exactly mellow.

So, they couldn’t just get rid of an established subsection of science, right? Well, they tried and it didn’t work, but whatevs. So, a lot of the ‘core’ classes for Xeno B weren’t exactly true. The first few vorns of study were there to convince you that xeno was bouge. So you’d go and find something ‘more rad’ and go off to another major. Seriously jive. So, Prime Verns were some of those classes offered at first. So, I took em’.”

Beachcomber gave a little shrug. It was either that or medical and that was not his bag. One thing he liked about organics, and minerals, was that they were such a diff from organics and their organs.

“Though I’m super rusted out man. Though I’m sure I have the backups somewhere.” Beachcomber offered, a little defensively. He passed those classes pretty rockin.”

“At least they didn’t pull the same game with my Geology, man. That would’ve been a bummer.”

It was quiet for a second.

“You know that I only know Mid-west-bird, man, don’t go harshin my vibe. I’m workin at it.”

A young sparkling stared up at the mech and grinned. He stared up at the mech and cuddled a plush bird to his chest. “Hi! Your visor is a pretty blue color, mine is orange.” The sparkling pointed to his own visor. “Carrier’s is silver and really pretty.” The sparkling jumped in place as he stared up at the stranger.

The sparkling frowned, he wasn’t supposed to talk to strangers. His Sire said he wasn’t supposed to.

“My desi is Halcyon, what’s yours?” There! Now Sire couldn’t be mad since this mech wasn’t a stranger anymore!

Jazz stared bewildered at the sparkling, the random thought process and speech throwing him off momentarily. Trying not to laugh the saboteur knelt down in front of the hyperactive sparkling.

“Yahre visor is pretty Halcyon.”, definitely a bright color just like his personality thought Jazz. “Ahm Jazz.” The saboteur chirped gently, “what are ya doin’ here all alone? Where is yahre creators?”

“Thank you!” The sparkling beamed at Jazz, little servos going to the sides of his visor; plush bird nearly hitting him in the face. He gave a bright grin and jumped on his peds, Jazz was nice!

“Nice to meet you, Jazz. You’re cool!” And he was, he had a pretty visor and he talked nice. Not as nice as carrier, but still really rad.

“Carrier’s down there.” Halcyon pointed left in a general direction. He wasn’t worried, Carrier always knew where he was! Of course that was thanks to a tracker that the sparkling didn’t know existed.

“Carrier said that as long as I’m nice to Walnut’s friends, then I’m groovy!”

Frenzy stood quiet for some time, thinking over Beachcomber’s words. He’d become pretty relaxed now realizing the buggy wasn’t a threat, but he was still cautious to approach him. He really didn’t want to lose his sparkling…

Quietly he picked up the sparkling, contemplating a little. Talk a little more, then go over.

“… You know more about this world than I do; ya willin’ to teach?” he cautiously asked, shifting the sparkling in his arms a little. “… For her sake?”

It was weird seeing one of the ‘terror twins’ as Spike called ‘em bein so. Well, Beachcomber couldn’t think of a proper word, maybe enigmatic, but with more concern. The mini mentally shook the thoughts away, not a good time.

“Yea, man, I can show you some good vibes all around the Large Lady. Always for the lil’ lady at that, man” Beachcomber’s typical grin found its way back onto his face as he wiggled his fingers at the sparkling. The mech leaned back onto his heels in a comfortable position. He was always willin’ to go teach about the joys of earth and organics.

The cassette couldn’t help but grin at the Autobot’s willingness, looking down as the sparkling began giggling to her spark’s content as she tried to reach out and grab Beachcomber’s servo. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad; besides, it was only him and Beachcomber out there; no Autobot or Decepticon would interfer to stop them.

“Good vibes…” he repeated with a slight chuckle, looking up. “Surely you of all bots know tha ain’t true on this planet… There are the ‘bad vibes’ too, ain’t there?”

Beachcomber let out a grin on his own, following Frenzy’s lead. It was always rad to not have a ‘con try to fight. The little fem seemed to agree as she reached out at him with clenching fingers.The mini just waved back.

“True, man. Bad vibes are all around too, but I doubt it’s gonna it us, man.” It wasn’t the day for bad vibes. The sun was shining, plating was warm, and grass was a pretty shade of green.

“Ain’t that right, little flower spark?” Beachcomber said, grinning at the sparkling. He wiggled his fingers again at her again, grin still in place.

Beachcomber blinked, looking away from his HUD. The Rock really was fascinating and was even older than first glance when the mineral water content was analyzed.  “What’cha sayin about me now, man?

“Ya, where are all those weird words from. I’ve only heard you say some of them”

“Weird words?” Beachcomber gave a blank look at the twins as he scanned through his processor for ‘weird words’. Nothing came up; everything was as fab as ever. With all the wit and courage of an Autobot, Beachcomber did the proper thing. He didn’t ask for clarification, no. He guessed.

“You mean my vernacular, mini-bros?”

Both twins grinned and giggled a bit. “Ya, the way you speak” Rumble confirmed. “You use some weird words” his twin agreed with a business-like nod. They smiled up at him, rocks still in hand.

Ratbat, now covered in wet sand, busied himself in digging out the tiny river to his castle. Occasionally he found a new rock or shell and tossed it up out of his mote. He reached the tide and quite quickly it flooded with water. He let out a panicked squawk as he was suddenly pushed down by the water. Soundwave immediately scooped him out and tried to soothe the distressed and damp sparkling.

Beachcomber’s visor gave a light flash as he reviewed the last hour of conversation. Everything looked nice and norm to him, though Soundwave was pretty radical. He let a sly glance go over to the Decepticon TIC, who was fussing over his sparkling. It was still super funky to see him without a mask or visor; his mouth twitched as he patted down his sparkling and his optics were narrowed in concern. It was super-duper freaky, man. Unreal. The mech turned his attention back to the twins and gave a grin and raised his servos in a peace offering.

“Guess I do, man. But, hey, don’t go making bad vibes of me.” Beachcomber joked, when you talked like that everyday, it was hard not to forget. An upset cry distracted the mini and he looked back at the Sound-bat duo.

Part of the sandcastle had collapsed -a quick scan showed the moat was uneven and not deep enough, while the other half, due to the shell’s weight, looked less than stable. What a harsh bummer.

The young sparkling, or Beach guessed he was, looked like his spark shattered.

“So no not groovy.” The minibot muttered under his breathe. Some poor crab, and sparkling, would be devastated if the whole thing shut down. Beachcomber wasn’t a Grapple, nor a Hoist, or even a Longhaul. But still.

Beachcomber gave a last grin at the twins and picked himself up, he padded his way over to the broken-down castle and the upset cassette.

“Now that’s pretty tattered, right man?” The mech grinned at the duo and plopped onto the ground; close enough to Soundwave and closer to the castle.

“A lil’ crab won’t like that much, right?” He didn’t wait for a response. Without letting anyone intersect, Beachcomber dug his servos into the sand and began removing the fallen shells. The mech set them to the side nicely and gave a grin at Ratbat.

“What about a nice duplex, man?”

“You sure, man. I ain’t gonna go doubt you, but I feel rad. Well, ‘cept my carriage, that’s a bit bent outta shape, you dig? Don’t wanna grab Ratchet for for nothing, that’d be a bummer.”

First Aid looked at Beachcomber oddly. “I mean… if you’re sure…” he trailed off. First Aid supposed he could fix it himself. He would feel better with Ratchet being here to give a second opinion, though.

“Totes, man.” The mini had no desire to get Ratchet down here’ all he had was a messed up strut. At least at this point with how bad his helm was aching, but there was nothing Ratch’ would do but yell and that was the last thing Beachcomber wanted.

::Hey, Ratch? What's up? Would you mind if I borrowed you for a lil nano kilick. It's a pretty sun-sunshiny day out, mellow waters and chill sky. I'm near the lake and'd love some friends. Also,... I know you told me to stop buggin' you about organics. But this lil' baby flycatcher fell out of its next. Mama isn't around and this lil' chick here sure looks sad. I don't have any medical programing to check if he's feelin alright. and if he's not I dont wanna go pickin' him up...:: <3 -Beachy

::Good morning, Beachcomber.::

Even if Beachcomber had secondary intentions inviting the medic out on this “sun-sunshiny day,” and even though Ratchet was no expert in organic wildlife, he figured it was a good excuse to get out of the medbay.

He gave a quiet sigh and stood from his desk, signing one more datapad, before making his way out of his office, ::Send me your coordinates I suppose.::

Hendrix didn’t overly seem to like the ducks, Beachcomber noticed. The flycatcher had tweeted angerly at them and puffed up his little down feathers. The mini was pretty sure that Hendrix said he was prettier and nice, but his vernacular still wasn’t the best.

Ratchet on the other hand, was not squawking around for once. The medic was still relaxed and looking at the lake with so much appreciation that it made Beachcomber’s spark spin. The soft smile on the mini’s face turned into a beaming grin.

After giving the lake the appropriate amount of time deserved, they both began walking again.

“You said it was split by volcanic force?”

“Totes!” Beachcomber stated, grinning at Ratchet. The mech didn’t mind going  over the rock again to Ratchet and Hendrix. That’s how Ratchet worked, he got the information, gave it his all, then wanted to make sure he was right on.

“So, the rock was originally one piece, a boulder. When Hills got all flustered and sent it off, the force slammed ‘em to the ground and shot it open. The area the rock hit was shattered too! The samples there are far out because of that, man! There is volcanic obsidian, minerals that trace back that are around 2 billion years old, it’s so nice! And then the surprise that I ain’t gonna spoil. The rock is pretty large too.” Beachcomber enthused, Hendrix letting out a few tweets every now in then; Beachcomber appreciated the ardor.

“Well,” he amended “ I don’t know if Skyfire or Prime could stand in it with no bad, but we can.”

“We can stand inside of it?” Ratchet asked, sounding a tiny bit amazed. He’d not known too many things on Earth that could fit a Cybertronian easily. Everything was so… small.

The medic eyed the bird as it put in it’s two cents into what the dune buggy was saying. All Ratchet managed to gather was that it was particularly happy wrapped up in the orange blanket.

Briefly, he wondered how Beachcomber was going to care for the bird. He certainly couldn’t fly around with it.

“Have you decided what to do with ah… ‘Hendrix,’ yet?”

“For sure, man! It’s so trippy, but like I said, i’m not gonna be jive and spoil the surprise of it.” Beachcomber turned his helm to give a grin at Ratchet. The mech sounded like he was all in for the rock adventure. The mini laughed and lightly skipped ahead, turning on his heel and walking backwards -humans were amazing creatures. The buggy focused his sensors and on the terrain behind him and gave a better grip on the birdy-bird.

“But it’ll make your gyros go all groovy and spin out.” It truly was super rad, the geology on Earth was so beyond different than home. The same lil’ basic compounds sure, but pressure and the atmosphere and so many variables made them beyond different.

“Have you decided what to do with ah… ‘Hendrix,’ yet?”

Beachcomber mentally shook himself out of his thoughts and looked down at Hendrix. The bird looked back up at him and the mini gave him a little ‘bop’ on the head. Birds were so cool.

“No idea, man.” The buggy looked back up at Ratchet and gave a one armed shrug. “Whatever happens is the haps.” And Beachcomber happened to google lil’ Hendrix and mentally ordered a bird perch off of ebay.

While I’m not as bad as Beachcomber, I use a hella amount of slang normally. Including, but not limited to, ‘rad’, ‘man’ and ‘trippy’. So, if it’s OOC stuff and I say ‘rad’ or add ‘man’ or ‘bro’ to sentances, I’m not being IC. I’m just being normal, yo.
