Jazz’s response made Prowl raise an optic ridge, doorwings shifting a little, unseen across the comm, in a gesture that was probably an equal mix of scepticism and curiosity. That was it? Expanding the musical horizons of bots across the universe?
It puzzled the Praxian that a mech with whom his first contact was a massive misunderstanding randomly decided to call him in order to expand his musical horizons, but clearly Jazz didn’t see anything unusual in it.
Perhaps Prowl should just accept that Jazz - any Jazz - was simply unpredictable.
:: Very well, :: was a soft reply, followed by a moment of silence as he considered how to proceed. There was a vent as the tactician put away a datapad, then absentmindedly tapped his digit against the surface of the desk.
Jazz’s company over the comm wasn’t unpleasant and if the mech wanted to discuss music, he could probably play along. Or at least try.
:: My assessment might not be of high quality as my musical knowledge is limited. :: A pause. :: The intro part, around first 20 seconds, seemed quite enjoyable and the overall rhythm of this song seems energetic enough to make me think that it would be decent for listening during a drive. However, some of the sharper sounds would probably hurt my sensor panels if the volume was too high. ::
That’s it. That’s really it. Jazz is in the mood for giving, and that means both forgiving past transgressions and delivering the finest of musical entertainment.
He is absolutely ignoring any confusion or incredulity betrayed by Prowl’s tone and forging ahead undaunted. This is peak Jazz confidence, right here. Accuse him of being in the wrong place if you dare, but he’ll just smile and say he’s exactly where he meant to be.
« Hmm. Somethin’ energetic but a little muted, then. I think you’d like The Police--here, try this one on: »
