i miss the wenclair so bad it's all those fuckass art thieves' fault tbh like REBLOGGING IS A THING AND SO IS CREDIT

I mean yeah, but that's not the only reason I dont wanna draw wenclair anymore.

I feel like I could endure any fandom no matter how terrible as long as the shipping community I interact with most are chill(see: Hazbin fandom vs the Chaggie shippers). I love the wonderful fellow wenclair shippers who have adored my work and I will always be grateful that they embraced my OC's with open arms. I'm also proud that the queer fans for this show outnumber the straight ones, which is rare for a sapphic ship to accomplish. Unfortunately with a huge number like that tho comes along with it a huuuuuge number of assholes

Around I think a year or two before S2 dropped, I left a comment(without QRTing) on twitter where I agreed that a wenclair artist starting to grow in popularity was using AI and explained why I thought so. Reception wasn't all good, the AI artist posted a screenshot of me blocking them(JUST me btw even tho other artists blocked them) so people were mad at me in my DM's. IDGAF about that "artist", but what made me the most upset is how people giving support to that AI artist, saying I was "just jealous", were also following me. The fucking audacity? To say that I had no right to make a judgement in a field I've worked hard in while they continue to benefit from the content I freely give?

That dulled my passion for the ship for a bit.

And then when Season 2 dropped, the reposts weren't my only issue. I love my fellow wenclair shippers, and not every single one of them behave this way i know. but a whole dang lot of them have been behaving really terribly, just because the ship is hella popular. i get it, we all want more of our favorite girls, but making so much noise in twitter and insta DEMANDING for a ship to be canon and for the writers to be fired over it is not the way to go. no fanbase, no matter how big, should get to dictate whatever ship gets canon or whoever gets fired. Not that I give a damn about the writers tho. And god, those writers...

and dont even get me started on the ship wars.

I know a lot of people still want to stay with the ship despite the writers' clear bias, and that's fine, but I'm personally too old for that shit. it was different when wenclair was a friendship that just so happened to have a cute relationship for potential romance. it's different when a show deliberately uses them as a duo in the pre-show promotions, only for the actual season to reveal that one-half of the duo has been benched, and that the actress for said character has even been purposefully given the scripts late so she has little time to prepare.

These writers want us to stay, even if they dont like us. They want us to keep giving them money, so they'll keep making wenclair merch. They want us to keep watching, so they'll give us microscopic crumbs. But at the end of the day they'll backtrack, call us crazy and delusional for "reading into things". I hate that. I hate that every single wenclair interaction in season two is now written with deceit and spite in mind. It just isn't the same anymore. i've been thru many queerbaits before, but this instance just feels especially malicious. Fuck that.

There are literally scientists who went into these studies genuinely believing in porn addiction who were eager to study it and its effects who came out no longer believing in it. Why? Because they're good scientists who changed their minds in the face of new evidence.

The key point in studies like this is that they always expect porn-related problems to go up as porn use goes up, and you would expect that because that's how every addiction works from gambling to cigarettes to alcohol to crack cocaine, but what they actually find is that the people with the most distress over their porn use is actually related to how religious they are, not how much porn they're watching. This is significant, because it means people who identify as "porn addicts" are not actually watching more porn than the average person; They just feel worse about it because they think they shouldn't be watching it AT ALL.

I really can't stress this point enough; Are there people whose lives are badly impacted by watching 22 hours of porn a day? Sure, they do exist and they have my sympathy, but the majority of cases of "porn addiction" are completely religiously motivated and have nothing to do with how much porn people are actually watching.

The key takeaway here is that shaming people for their sexuality is harmful. It's bad for people's mental health to make them feel shame over something they have no control over, like how horny they can get. It's wrong to force people to suppress their emotions and make them feel guilty for not harming anyone. As Drew of Genetically Modified Skeptic once said; You can't shame someone out of feeling horny any more than you can shame someone out of feeling hungry.

Christianity often does this as a form of control by selling you the sickness and the cure; We are created sick and commanded to be well.

Hey guys. Just because I’m a semi popular artist in the wings of fire fandom now does not give you the excuse to ignore my boundaries, be weird towards me and repost my art without credit or permission!!!

I recently received a bazaar asf dm from an account called honestenclavequest, who before this, had been commenting completely incoherent sexual remarks about my art under my posts. These comments have since been deleted automatically as probable spam and I am very grateful for that seeing as tumblr won’t let me delete them myself apparently. This guy felt the need to dm me about this apparently and sent me a message which istg I cannot decipher due to it being so poorly spelled and worded along with a bunch of stolen art of various dragons.

Btw I should probably mention, if you’re a minor PLEASE don’t go looking for his account or scroll through it at all😭😭it’s filled to the brim with stolen inflation fetish art and feral dragons in suggestive poses.

But the part I wanna point out is that this dude just stole and reuploded my wings of fire art and posted it onto his blog along with a bunch of other wof stuff from creators I know.

Like at this point I was so extremely confused because I can’t tell if this is a bot or deadass an actual person😭I dmed him back basically saying that I wasn’t comfortable with him and that he should remove my art from his account.

I got a response like an hour later which again, I can barely decipher due to it being complete gibberish but I think he was talking about how automod deleted his comments weird ass under my stuff.. he also sent his apparent ip address which I am not going to share for what I hope are obvious reasons

He kept fucking spamming me with stolen art, some of which belonged to me and at this point I couldn’t be bothered and ended up blocking him. This apparently didn’t stop him though because he’s still reuploding my work and spamming me with gibberish dms.. like this must count as a from of harassment at this point istg…

This guy is still stealing a lot of people’s art including work done by my mutuals. I wanted to make this post basically warning everyone in my community about this guy because, bot or not, he’s still stealing a bunch of my mutuals art and it just frustrates me sm < /3 if you come across this account, block and report it immediately like I’m being so deadass don’t interact with them or anything just block them bro
