Thomas Aquinas, what's the difference between "horny" and "thirsty"?

"Horny" is said of the flesh and is in large part involuntary. One can practice custody of the eyes and discipline one's passions, but while we are in this mortal body the motions of the endocrine system are not subject to our control, and we are not perfect masters of our desires and imaginations. "Thirst," on the other hand, is said of behavior, and is more readily blamed, although many thirsty persons seem to lack full consciousness of what they're doing. Thirst is best understood as a pattern of interacting overly eagerly with people one is attracted to, of seeking their attention and ostentatiously demonstrating one's goodwill, to an extent not justified by any long-standing mutual friendship. Granted, the thirsty person often thinks he is merely being friendly, but let no one be judge in his own cause: his friends can always tell, and the object of his thirst is usually not ignorant of it either. Thirst, one may say, is a kind of sublimated horniness, but it is sublimated in a way that makes it more pernicious. Whereas one in whom lust has been stirred up knows well that he is horny, even those who exhibit the most desperate thirst typically believe that they are just being friendly.
