Oh shoot yeah hi! Everything is alright! Just a prolonged break and my phone running out of space so I had to uninstall tumblr so I didn't get on much (or at all)
(then i got into entry point and decaying winter soooooooooooooooooooooooo yeah went down those two rabbit holes)
But I'm back now :D started updating the fic yesterday and there's two new chapters posted already!

Another theory post because of course
so I was writing my fic as one does, I get to the portion where I need to refer to the triasta of bronze and think of googling if that sort of weapon exists.
turns out it doesn't exist as a weapon, it's just named that -which wasn't really a shock but I wanted to make sure it wasn't something only Italian's would get.
Turns out there is a similar name to triasta, that being "Trista"...
And as I was going through the google results of the baby name "Trista" (because triasta apparently is not a thing), I realised...
What if his weapon is named after his wife? What if the wife is/was named Triasta? Because I have not seen anything on the wiki, I don't see how Tria (number 3 in greek) and -sta would work as a name + there has been no trivia mention of this (like he does with spells).
If vetex revealed why it's named this somewhere, please let me know because supposedly he's been revealing more and more stuff and I have not even noticed
Calvus' Triasta is categorized as a trident in-game. Breaking the word triasta into two components, you get "tri" and "asta". "Tri-" is a prefix denoting three, while looking up "asta", I've found it means "pole" in Italian, a term inherited from the Latin "hasta" (spear). Combine these two components, then Triasta means "Three spears", then you get a trident! Just like how "Trident" is "Tri" ("three") + "Dens" ("tooth"). I'll probably assume triasta is a word Vetex invented to make Calvus' trident sound cooler

Which is a male name, but also possible as gender neutral.

Okay so hear me out
The reason Morden only injured Julian severely and only got a bit of glass in his leg was because Julian didn't have a Devourer handy.
Like he probably knew that his king was looking for the death course and probably planned to bring Morden in alive and had to pull back some punches so the curse wouldn't just cannonball into space
