I want to write this note to support the beach. The Humboldt Park beach, which today has no water. Today there is a Beach Blanket sit in at the beach. I am on my way to a conference out town, so I won’t be there.

I have questions for the Chicago Park District;

1. Where is the money going from large Fests that take over the whole park like Riot Fest, Lollapalooza, North Coast and all other festivals? Is this going to pay for pensions? Is this going to pay for the high level of management at the CPD?

2. What happens to the profits from the lease of Soldier Field? The Bears seem to for sure generate a lot of income that benefits ticket payers and the McCaskey’s.

3. What happens to all the taxes that are collected by the county and the city?

I feel that somebody decided in their infinite wisdom that this was a wise cut in expenses.

After the destruction of Humboldt Park last year, I feel very angry that the park district applied the profits to other things not Humboldt Park. I hope that Douglas Park learns the same lesson.

I support the beach, the images above are of my daughter in one of our many outings to the beach.
