“Hey, I’m supposed to be the one that talks you down, don’t start with that. It was a thought, Wirt. I could always get you cursed into something on purpose.” Hell, she could probably get him turned into a bluebird too. It’d mean she wouldn’t have anywhere to perch while they walked, but it’d make her feel... a little better.

I’m a bluebird.” Of course, how she’d stop all of them getting cursed into the wrong thing would still be something she’d need to figure out. “If it makes you feel any better, I’ll try to get cursed when I’m not with you.”

He was genuinely trying to help…even if he didn’t know what she was talking about, at all. He’d never heard of any place titled ‘the Unknown’, and wouldn’t know the first thing about getting back to it.

“Well…D’ya know which way you came from? Retrace your steps, and all that?”

“Oh, believe me, I’ve tried. I’ve flown all the way through this forest in ever direction I can, but the only thing in there is more forest. And not the forest I’m looking for.” She was sure she’d come from the forest, but apparently not. Had she just zoned out while flying?
