Yeah, for the most part. I haven't been frolicking in a field like Mom wanted me to, but I HAVE been resting, at least while I have been grounded. That ends tomorrow, though. And apparently there's been a mishap at the vault and now all our stuff is gone. So I'll have to deal with that.
(Sorry for the late reply. Our DM lost all the files for the TTRPG, and so it has been on hiatus while we all chipped in to remake the table, and the system. We just had our first session back today)

Being grounded for a whole week was boring. Luckily I discovered this laptop can ALSO connect to something called "Mewtube," which apparently has a lot of videos and stuff on it.
I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal of this. Things are dire, and I'm acting like it. I'd like to think I'm doing a good thing by giving it my all to try and save the world. I don't think I'm should be punished for it.
Adventuring is supposed to be dangerous, and risky. How are we going to stop the end of everything if we don't take risks? A year isn't nearly as long as people seem to think. And yet I seem to be the only one taking this seriously with my actions.
Besides, it's not like we were in a dungeon. And if and when I *do* figure out long distance teleportation, it'll be extremely useful in saving us time. I can just teleport to the Assembly, and have Mega Pidgeot get my team back to town far sooner than they would be able to get themselves back by walking.
Beatrice, if you lost a KIDNEY in your teleportation mishap. That's not giving your all, that's being reckless to the greatest extreme! If it were up to me, you wouldn't be allowed to explore anymore, period.
Let me put it like this. If one of us did what you did, you'd react exactly as we have, perhaps worse.
So how do you propose I experiment with this move? We clearly need more power, if our fight with Korae is anything to go by. And more time means more opportunities to explore other dungeons. Means more jobs, and experience. It means, ultimately, more options for strength.
Hell, our delve into the Artifice tells us clearly that I'm not doing enough. That I'm not strong enough. Not helpful enough.
Losing your vital organs or the blood from your body will not lead you to mastery, only death.
If you wish to master this skill, time and experience will be your greatest ally.
I say this not to disregard your abilities and experiences little one, I say this because you are better alive than dead…

Yes. Exactly that. I only allowed myself to learn and use Perish Song after I understood how to shape and control the curse, and who it affected. This is the same kind of thing. You really, truly can't rush this sort of understanding.
Bea, there is practice, and there is hazardous behaviour. Teleporting to marked locations in a safe place? That's practice. Teleporting thousands of miles twice, knocking yourself out and falling fifty feet? That's hazardous behaviour. Doing so without telling us so we can get someone with more medical training on standby for your safety? I have half a mind to stick you to the bench myself.
When I ran all the way back to Embark, its because I was worried about you. Same as Jaze would have done. Same as Banni would have done. You worried us. We're not chastising you. We're worried about you.
Take your time, little Bea. You can practice and be safe. We're right here with you.
...maybe you're right. I'll try to be more careful next time I do experiments like this. Let people at the intended destination know. Let you guys know.
