A global experience, starting a new journal and having high expectations about how to begin writing.
You spend days staring at blank pages, afraid to put the pencil to paper because the page seems something extremely precious and delicate, and it should receive words that equally express its essence.
For someone like me, who regularly consumes letters and diaries from writers (even in a somewhat obsessive way), I feel a duty to also bring lines from my deepest feelings, creating more than just beautiful words, but truths about myself.
However, despite the fear, the need to write will always be greater than the desire to prove to myself that I can write, that it is an extension of my thoughts crossing the pages. Even if it hurts not to feel worthy enough to choose words like the writers who came before me. I need to write, it has become as important as breathing.
