“Oh, well that’s a new one. I’ve never saved anyone before!” She chuckled, picking up a few brownies and grouping them together. She knew he wasn’t going to be able to just have one once he took his first bite. “I’m selling them for two bucks, but I can also take whatever you’ve got to offer.”
She had found offering flexibility when it came to paying created many different results. Some people offered her way more than they needed to pay. Others paid way less, but Tiana figured it would all even out at some point. Just part of her wonderful business skills. “Just let me know how many brownies it’s going to take to save ya and that number can be yours!”
This woman had a pretty smile, Beau noticed, and his own mouth curled into a similar grin.
“Two bucks? You’re underselling yourself, miss.” he fished a few notes out of his pocket and handed them over. It was much more than she was asking for, but Beau knew she would appreciate the extra money.
“Three, will be just enough, I think. My folks always say three is a number of completeness. I’m Beau, by the way. You new around here?” he chattered.
