“You can’t lie and tell me that it doesn’t sound like something Christian Gray would say.” Her lips held a bemused smirk as he cracked his joke, pausing slightly before nodding. “Mmm, don’t forget the blindfold and the whip.” Ana winked, chuckling as she walked toward the fridge to get a bottle of water. “Are you hot? Yes, duh–we both know that. It’s obvious. Two attractive people ‘dating’ makes sense. But you’re not just a pretty face to me, Beau.” Another grin graced her lips as she lightly patted his cheek and took a sip of her water–and stopped mid sip. “Wait–you really don’t know? It’s a ski resort in Colorado. Well, I mean, I guess its a town that holds a ski resort but all the best people go. Well either that or Aspen. I like Vail more though, less…tourists. But not by much.” Ana had very particular choices–most of which made no sense to most people, likely Beau included with that. But at least he tended to go along with her long winded monologues for the most part. “Excuse you, I can stand on a pair of skis. That’s rude of you to assume.” Another roll of her eyes–though this one was minor–and she smiled softly at the kiss. Affection was something Ana wasn’t used to–well, affection in this manner. It was different than what she was used to, but not in a bad way. She watched as he already moved to grab a bag and she clapped her hands gleefully. “Oh–oh yay! And yes, small town, for sure. You can pick and I promise to not complain. Just…make sure there’s, like, a running bathroom or something.” She twisted her lip and thought about his request. Ana wasn’t heartless and truthfully, she had been looking for something nice to get him for actually going along with this (even if he’d signed an NDA and was locked in)–this seemed good enough. “Do you even know how to work one of those things? What other kinds of odd habits do you have that I don’t know about?”
“I wouldn’t know anything about Christian Gray. I don’t let myself read garbage like that. It’s not even written that well, for fuckssake,” did he have beef with the 50 Shades franchise? Yes. Would he elaborate on it? No. Beau cleared his throat and shook away the thoughts, “Aw, I’m not just a pretty face to you? So thoughtful of you, A. Really.” He rolled his eyes and dragged her empty bag back to his room, “How am I supposed to know about fancy-ass Vail. I mean, sure, I’ve been to Colorado but like... when I was fifteen for Spring Break with my family. It wasn’t exactly something I’d rave about- although with certain things being legal there now, I suppose I could see the joy.” He didn’t hate the cold either, but the fact was that they lived in the cold, couldn’t she have suggested a vacation to Barbados instead? “Oh, you expect a running bathroom in our place to stay? You realize you’ve been set up with someone that lived out of a van for at least a year and a half of his life, right?” Beau stepped up to the blonde and cupped her face, “If we’re doing this, why shouldn’t I force you to experience it in the poor person way? Give you some real charm to make the peasants without money seem like you’re really out there experiencing life the way it should be- on the road.” He’d sold his van, yes, but there was no reason why he couldn’t con Ana into renting a cool VW bus and road-tripping it to this fancy city. Although, luxurious life did sound nice. “I mean, I wouldn’t say I know how to work one that well,” Beau shrugged his shoulders and tossed the suitcase onto his bed before stepping into his closet to grab a few pairs of pants, “But I mean, it really can’t be that hard, right? Couple photos, some editing, seems easy enough. I took a class in college- a few classes, actually- when I thought that was going to be my life-defining career,” he tossed the pants onto his bed and returned to his closet. “I mean, I’ve got plenty of habits, I guess. I always brush my teeth after every meal,” He poked his head out to look at Ana and shot her a shit-eating grin, his pearly whites flashing under the overhead light in his closet, “I don’t exactly like to stay still, so anything that gets me outside and moving tends to be a habit, I guess. I always loved hiking, though. Exploring. I mean, that’s part of why I lived in a van for so long. Living off the grid, you know?”
