This ain’t it yall
I honestly didn’t want to watch step sisters I actively avoided it. But then someone told me Matt McGorry was dating a black girl and calling her his queen in it and I absolutely had to watch the train wreck that this film would be. And let me tell you it was so much worse
5 minutes in and I had to take a break because I was in physical pain
By the end all I could do was laugh because wtf had I just seen
I mean it basically made black people seem like close minded people who are the reason for the continued devision in America.
And Matt McGorry literally played himself the entire movie like I don’t think he saw the parody that his character was. At one point he was completely correct when he explained to THE BLACK FEMALE LEAD how black people can’t be racist to white people.
I wish I had just choked on air instead of watching this movie
Anyone who said it has a good message is not the one guys
WHY DID THE NETFLIX MOVIE STEP SISTERS MAKE THEIR CORE MESSAGE THAT ITS BLACK PEOPLE WHO NEED TO BE MORE OPEN MINDED AND ACCEPTING OF WHITE PEOPLE?????????

inspiration struck in the middle of the night and I could not rest until this came to fruition
Look at this amazingly dope picture of Madam CJ Walker cruisin down the street with her squad. Serving all the looks in the world looking like money and power
He discovered true power in wearing a wig.
I FELT that “biitch”😂
“And I thought about women. All these books, how long had it taken for women to be able to write their share, and why were there still so few women poets and novelists, and even fewer who were considered to be important? …As a woman, would I be an onlooker and not a contributor? Could I study what I could never hope to achieve?” -Jeanette Winterson “If you’re a woman writer, sometime, somewhere, you will be asked: Do you think of yourself as a writer first, or as a woman first? Look out. Whoever asks this hates and fears both writing and women.” -Margaret Atwood

Nah but forreal The Photograph really was like our “The Notebook.” (finally)
And really I say that in terms of it being a whimsical, decades-spanning, and aesthetically-pleasing romantic drama that could and should go on to become a classic.
Because a comparison to “The Notebook” doesn’t really even do it justice IMO. The Photograph was just rich (in plot establishment, in how the characters were shown to us, in the cinematography, in the soundtrack, all of that), and heartstring-pulling/simultaneously warming in its own unique way.
Just got back from watching The Photograph and all imma say is that I like gold chains and is Y’lan taking wife applications? Also whoever did the costume design, did what was needed to be done!
me after watching ps i still love you & the photograph 3 days apart:
“The Photograph” opens on Feb. 14th 💕
