OIL TREATMENT
So a friend of mine was worried about his hair, and has noticed that his hairline has slowly been moving back over recent years. I’m obsessed with watching programmes about doctors and health etc, and one programme mentioned a study that was conducted I think in the 80′s. It said that by combining essential oils with ones like jojoba and grapeseed and massaging it on the scalp a few times a week really helps. The study said that after around 7 months, 45% of participants noticed a considerable difference in their hair regrowth. I suggested this to him and he now makes the same concoction 3 times a week:
- 3/4 drops lavender oil
- 3/4 drops of rosemary oil
- 3 teaspoons of grapeseed oil
- 1/2 teaspoon of jojoba oil
- 2/3 drops red thyme oil
- 2/3 drops cedarwood oil
All of these ingredients mixed together and then massaged deeply into the scalp or troublesome areas with hopefully help with the regrowth of some hair particles. I also found a study that suggested deep massaging of the scalp can significantly increase hair regrowth over an extended period of time (around 10-12 months), by opening up the hair follicles and ridding them of blocked sebum to help the hair grow through. This stimulates the scalp and follicles to increase the number of hairs growing on the head.
My friend is only around 2/3 months into the oil treatment, but has said it’s starting to show slight regrowth, or at least halting the process of receding.
