This might be a dumb question, cause of course getting a needle through your nipples hurt, but i'm just wondering how your experience with getting them pierced was, like how much did it hurt, for how long, do you have any advice for people/is there anything I should be aware of before getting my nipples pierced? (I'm considering getting mine done:P)
I consider my nipple piercings to be my first piercings ever (I have my ears done, but I don’t remember them because I was 2), so I can’t compare the pain to other kinds of piercings. However, I can tell you that I was super nervous (like the piercer and staff thought on several occasions that I was going to pass out) so all that adrenaline kept me from feeling much pain in the moment. That said, it felt like someone was pinching my nipples really hard while they were getting pierced, and the second hurt more than the first. I had a great piercer though, so both were done with jewelry in within 2 minutes. Afterwards, by the time the adrenaline wore off, they hurt like a bitch for about 3 hours. But I ended up taking a ton of ibuprofen, iced the piercings over my shirt, got high, and drank a little (to celebrate getting piercings with my roommate) so the pain was for sure gone for the rest of the night. I woke up the next morning with no pain and they haven’t hurt at all ever since. I love the way they look so much!!
TL;DR: It’s gonna hurt like a motherfucker so have someone with you who you can get hype with beforehand and who you can vent to afterwards. Also, ice packs and ibuprofen and weed are the shit, so do what you gotta do once they’re done! They basically stop hurting by the next day.
