Hey everyone! Quick update on 26 days of saitatsu.

First off, huge thank you for all the incredible love on Chapter 2! I’m currently drafting Chapter 3, and let’s just say... Letter B is taking the chaos, the heat, and the pure mutual awkwardness forever for me to write to an entirely new level.

I won't spoil which specific scenario won the vote just yet, but here is a quick, unedited sneak peek from the rough draft of Chapter 3 to hold you over!

"If you move even one millimeter," she hissed, her voice dangerously low, "I swear I will launch you into orbit."

Saitama didn't move. In fact, he barely dared to breathe.

Usually, when she threatened him, it was accompanied by a glowing green aura, flying debris, and the sound of cracking concrete. But right now? There was no aura. There was no flying concrete.

There was only the heavy, suffocating silence of the room, the low, warm ambient light catching the edge of her jaw, and the undeniable fact that they were sitting far too close for two people who claimed to be doing this "just to settle a stupid bet."

"I'm not moving, Tats," Saitama murmured, his voice dropping into a low, quiet register that made her shoulders visibly drop an inch. "You're the one who's shaking."

"I am not shaking!" she snapped defensively, though the slight tremble in her hands, and the deep, burning flush creeping all the way up to her delicate ears, completely betrayed her. She pulled the fabric tighter around herself, burying her face slightly into the collar just to avoid meeting his gaze. "The temperature in here is just..."

Saitama looked down at her. He didn't have a witty comeback. He didn't have a deadpan, dot-eyed joke.

For a guy who spent his life feeling entirely detached from everything around him, the sudden pulse in his chest was almost disorienting. His hand hovered in the narrow space between them, his fingers twitching with a strange impulse to reach out and touch the soft curl resting against her neck.

Man, he thought, his jaw tightening slightly as he caught the subtle, sweet scent of her lingering in the narrow space between them. Genos's internal processing logs are definitely going to crash when he sees this one.

"Hey," Saitama said softly, his voice cutting through her frantic internal panic.

Tatsumaki peeked out from behind her hands, her green eyes wide, glossy, and completely vulnerable. "What?"

"Your turn to pick," he smirking gently, his dark eyes locking onto hers. "Unless you're ready to admit I'm winning."

Those drawing of Tatsumaki as a mother are really cute.

The question would be, how do you think Saitama would be as a father?

I honestly think Saitama would make for a great dad. He's shown in canon to be great with kids, he's patient, wise, and could probably handle anything that came his way, so there would be no doubt that he could care for his own. Much like the Tatsumaki post, he would require much healing and relearning his emotions, but I have no doubt that he'd do his best to be the best father much like how he did his best to become the world's strongest hero.

In all honesty I don't think he'd care what style it was, it's curly and cute so why change it? But if he had the option...

How do you imagine Tatsumaki as a mother?

That's an interesting one! Personally speaking, I feel that an ideal idea of Tatsumaki as a mother would need to include years of healing from the traumatic childhood she had. After that point, a more healed and newly empathetic Tats would probably try to do her best as a parent as she was as a hero to raise and protect her child. Behaviorally speaking and given her own experience raising and protecting her sister Fubuki, Tats would probably display a softer and more refined version of that parenting style. Though of course it would be a clumsy process including short tempers on both sides and her still pretty antisocial personality, but she would do her best to provide the life for her child that she was deprived of coming up in the hostile world she grew was born into.
