Sometimes allowing yourself to be embraced by darkness can let the way out shine through.

Even though this is the place where I was born and raised, it no longer feels like home. I was able to find my “home” someplace else; however, it does not rest on the physical plane, it rather floats within the boundaries of time. It saddens me that right now it is out of my reach, but I yearn for the day in which I can visit that wonderful place once more.

Happy cinco de Mayo!!

People asked me if it is Mexico’s Independence Day. It is not, that’s on September 16th. Cinco de Mayo was the day the Mexican army was victorious against the French army on the Battle of Puebla back in 1862. It was the first time the Mexican army defeated a stronger foreign army. 

Although is not a National Holiday, some people celebrate it big time.

I often feel locked in a haze, but I know that if I keep going, If I look deeply into my heart and fight for those dreams that I have long forgotten, my soul will blossom once more.

I saw the cherry trees flowering for the first time ever, and all I can say is: This sight is worth the wait, and I would do it all again.
