We still accept submissions!
Even after almost a year of nothing, we are still here! If you would like to share how Tolkien has changed your life, please feel free! Especially now that The Hobbit movie has been released, we're sure there are new fans out there who have their own experiences to share!
We'd love to hear from you!

Sounds like we've got a good variety of Tolkien reading!
Some have said they are reading The Hobbit, Beowulf: The Monsters and the Critics, The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrún, The Silmarillion...
All wonderful choices, of course!
Happy Tolkien Reading Day!
We'd like to hear from you!
What are you reading today?
And how has reading Tolkien affected your life?
Hello everyone!
As you may (or may not) have noticed, submissions for this blog have become rather few and far between...
If you have something to submit, please don't hesitate! We will not shut this blog down, no matter how slow the posts come!
On that note, if you have any suggestions for other types of posts you may like to see (besides submissions), let us know! We would like to stick mostly to the 'Because of Tolkien' theme, however, which is why we don't currently reblog just anything we fancy - but we are willing to expand our horizons a bit!
Keep spreading the Tolkien love!
I used to hate my school for having Latin as a compulsory subject, but Tolkien helped me realize there are benefits to learning a language other than making you fit for the job market. And that those apply to dead languages, too.

Oh my. This blog is stunning, phenomenal, and just miraculous. I can't get over it. I love it. Tolkien has definitely changed so many lives and views on certain topics. So for this blog to put them into posts, and to have other people understand it like I do, makes part of me complete. Thank you so much. So much. xx
You're very welcome!
We're so glad to hear that Tolkien is bringing so many people together through their shared appreciation of his works!
And thank you for the praise!

I'm beginning to realize how many of the spiritual beliefs that make me who I am were influenced/inspired by Tolkien. Lord of the Rings is, to me, one of the most beautiful, spiritual things I've ever read, and then reading his letters on top of that brought the richness of his work to life even more.
