You know you’re the best, right?
What plans do you have for Easter? Will you like to join my family and I for dinner?

princeton-michael:
I don’t believe you were kidding.
Quiet, Michael.
I may have started one.
troutyevns:
And I’ m sorry. I forgot myself and my training for a moment. I should have called you Ms. Hendricks instead of Becca. And I would love to join you for brunch.
It’s fine, Sam. I prefer Becca over Ms. Hendricks any day. We’re home now and the food is just about ready, as is Michael’s basket. Come by now if you’re out back.
princeton-michael:
I swear I was about to call and let you know. I just didn’t want you to worry… or feel that you needed to put together a basket, though you know I won’t say no.
Thanks, Mom.
If I had the time I would knit a sweater to go with the basket.
Kidding, only kidding I do take my mom role seriously.
troutyevns:
Will do Becca. I can drop by first thing in the morning if that’s okay.
Thank you, darling. Come to the house after 11am. We’ll be back from church by then. Join us for brunch if you have the time.

So, I’ve been told. But I have an amazing boyfriend. I had seen it, but I want to go back and see it with you, and I promise I won’t spoil you.
The soup helped… I think the company helped more, but I’m always happy to have your company. I should let Becca know I’m sick, but she’d be burying me in medication and food, I think. She’s become a mom to me in that way.
You assumed right, Michael. Stay home. Sam, when you’re home again come by my house and I’ll give you a get well basket to take over to him. Thank you, darling.
Please keep in bed, Michael. We’ll make due at the store.

Becca: Will your nephew like to join us for dinner Sunday evening? I will like to meet him.
[Becca surprised Michael earlier today with this cake! An envelop was given which contained a weekend getaway for two to a cute bed and breakfast in Portland]

Benji: Hey! I got some interesting news today.
Benji: By interesting, I mean good. Fun. Fun news.
Becca: I can tell how excited you are with your excessive use of fun. What's the news?
theotherdodds:
Good to know. I probably won’t bother with them then. We get a lot of things online too, except for the furniture I built myself. It’s just easier that way, though I think Marie would probably like to go clothes shopping in a proper store. With someone who isn’t me, possibly.
Nice to meet you, Becca.
If you don’t mind the drive Woodburn has great stores. It’s an outlet mall between Portland and Salem. I shop there for my children when I have free time.
Likewise, Elliot. There’s a small gathering at my home Christmas afternoon. If you and your daughter are free, you should come over.
theotherdodds:
Any of the stores still there worth going to? Oh… yeah. Single parenting’s hard. I’m still getting the hang of it, and I’ve been doing it awhile. I’m Elliot, by the way. Obviously, I’m new in town.
They’re not. I go to price check or look at items I’m interested in but unsure if it’ll fit or go well in my home. A lot of the items in my home come through Amazon.
Rebecca but I go by Becca. Welcome to the town, Elliot.
theotherdodds:
Where is the town Santa? I haven’t seen anything like a mall around here, but I haven’t really looked either. Do your kids like living here?
There is a small mall. There aren’t many stores in it anymore. They do. They wish their father came around more but it is what it is.
theotherdodds:
The lights sound wonderful, as well as ice skating. She’s 12, so I’m not sure she’d be interested in Santa. Do you have kids too?
Those are two activities she should enjoy! Yes, I do. They are too young to fully take part in the town’s events but they are excited about seeing Santa soon.

benji-teaches:
“No occasion,” he supplied, grinning at her response. The kiss to his cheek, the look on her face when she saw him - these little things gave him all the occasion he needed to surprise her in this way. “I missed you, so I thought…” He gestured toward the bouquet in her hand. “I couldn’t actually remember if you like flowers. And then I realized I’ve never gotten you any… which is just terrible. Truly.”
Becca picked them up, this time to admire them closely. It’d been a couple of years since someone gave her flowers. It was a her birthday and her ex-husband gifted them to her, along with a box of exquisite chocolates. “I do love them so. You should feel free to send them to me whenever.” Becca placed them down again and went to Benjamin, giving him a proper hug hello. “I’ll leave these here for everyone to enjoy.” The woman didn’t want to come across as unprofessional by hanging on him, even if it was her store. “Have you eaten?”
I know every post is about Christmas right now, but I wanted to ask what the usual festivities in this place are when it comes to the holidays. I might like to take my daughter out, but I have no idea what to take her to.
There’s a festival of lights in the park in the center of town. Depending on the age of your daughter, you can visit the Santa who is at the small mall. Also, if you like to ice skate, there’s an outdoor rink near the park.

Okay, well, I’ll just see if I can take a morning shift then.
Great! If it’s a problem you and I can meet at a later time.
troutyevns:
Pm: I should make more of an effort. I didn’t know you and Mr. Lynn are a couple. That’s great news. Yes I would like to help plan.
PM: Thank you for saying so, Sam. He spends time with my children and I most nights. You and Chloe are welcome to join us if you ever want a home cooked meal.
I thought you would! Is Michael the type to want a big event or an intimate one?
