Recently I am a huge - like really huge - fan of crystals. Thatâs why I thought that I will try to write a detailed list about crystals and what they are good for. I hope this little list may be useful for others too.
Hi, new to working with gods but feel closest connected with Persephone, I've been wanting to give offerings to her but 1)wasn't sure how to and 2) wasn't sure what to offer I'm just worried she won't respond to me if I don't do 100%( like I said new to Gods)
Hi! Being new to Pagan worship is seriously very confusing, and it can be daunting. So letâs try to break this down as best we can.
Why give offerings?Offerings as given as gifts, as little âthank yousâ for existing, or displaying that you appreciate the Godâs presence in your life.

Will a God not respond to me if I donât do it 100%?First off, if you give an offering earnestly and show that youâve considered it, itâll work 100%, Guaranteed.
Unfortunately, relationships with the Gods arenât that linear. I gave Hades offerings for years before I received a response. Many new worshippers donât get responses right away. That doesnât mean the God is ignoring you; you need to keep trying. Keep praying and offering to Her. Sheâll respond, I promise.

pomegranate

Chthonic (or chthonian) deities are are Gods that dwell beneath the earth. This includes any Underworld deities, as well as deities that are associated with the Underworld (Gods like Hecate would be included, since They often visit the Underworld). Some of you may have noticed that thereâs hardly any information on how to worship certain chthonic deities. Here, I give you some starting tips:
With most chthonic deities, offerings are usually poured down instead of sent up. This means incense is a less common offering, as you want to offer things that are poured down into the earth, where They symbolically reside. I usually offer oils (often olive oils) and teas. Other offerings may include wine, juice, blood and essential oils. I pour the physical remains into the earth after ritualâjust make sure youâre not harming any nature when youâre doing this!
I know that in some pantheons, itâs common  to take a sip of a drink before offering it to a heavenly deity. With chthonic deities, donât take a sip before you offer it. Itâs traditional to offer the entire drink to Them. (I got such a death glare from Hades when I didnât do this correctly pun intended).
If you God is associated with the dead, cleaning up cemeteries and tending to old graves are GREAT versions of philanthropic worship!Â
Stones are often used with chthonic deities, in spells aided by Them and on Their altar. Check your deityâs symbols for appropriate stones, but in general, any dark, jagged stone works best (such as obsidian and smoky quartz).
You may make an altar to chthonic deities easily. Black, grey, metallic, and purple candles are common (depending on your God). Stones, money, any bones (or representations of bones) you have, and items passed down in your family (a form of ancestral worship) also work well on the altar!
You may create an altar to spirits of the dead or your ancestors too if you wish!
Remember that the element of earth is sacred to most chthonic deities as well. Using dirt, herbs and any other earth elemental magic works in devotion to Them.
Although spirit work is common with chthonic deities, it is not required. Again, spirit work is not required. If you donât feel comfortable doing it, donât.
If you do pursue spirit work, treat them kindly but remember that some spirits do lie. Pendulums, tarot, astral projection, and offerings work well as beginning spirit work.
If you donât feel comfortable using your blood in magic, donât. It is not required.
You do not have to be a certain type to witch, or even a witch, to worship a chthonic deity.
Do not forget to study up on your God! Learn their stories, associations, powers, and traditions. All chthonic deities are different!
And finally, but most importantly, talk to Them. Talk to Them silently, out loud in front of an altar, or write to Them in a journal (which I do all the time). They are Gods, so They will listen to you, and respond when They think best.

Iâve noticed that there arenât many posts concerning epithets for Hades, and certainly no comprehensive ones, so I thought Iâd make one. This is Hellenism focused, so all will be applied to Hades, even though the Latin ones would traditionally be for Pluto. Latin epithets are marked as (L). 1. Count the major arcana.
The more there are, the stronger the readingâs predictions will impact the querentâs life. If there are none or just one, almost none of it will matter in the long run.
2. Note the sequence of the major arcana.
If the querent is asking about someone, and the major arcana are between 0 and 16, that person is not meant to stay in their life. If the question is about a dream or an opportunity, and the cards fall between 17 and 21, it will manifest completely.

Many people who have been studying have become quite understanding of the nature of their rising sign and how this reflects their personality as an individual (as the 1st house of âI amâ).
Though the Ascendant plays an important role as to how you recognise yourself, your personality and sense of individuality, your Imum Coeli, Descendant and Midheaven also play an integral role to core components of who you are in relation to the context of your family, relationships and in the eye of the public.
Ever noticed how your personality changes when youâre with your family compared to when your with friends or your romantic partner? And bringing the romantic partner into the family life can initially cause a sense of tension? (4th/Cancer square the 7th/LibraâŠmakes sense!?).
In this segment, we are going to explore how the sign on your Midheaven can display how you are perceived in the eye of the public. This means how you will appear to people who barely know you, people who you walk by in the street or on the bus, to your social media platforms and the reputation you gain through your career. When watching celebrities on television, you are far more likely seeing their MIDHEAVEN sign (and 10th house activity). Â
Take note the sign of the ruler of your Midheaven is in and read about that placement as well (especially if you have an empty 10th house) + you may also like to read about the planets in the 10th, though the sign of your midheaven and its ruling planet will be far more potent in relation to how you are perceived in the public eye and what you are most âfamousâ for.

I am specifically referring to the Midheaven though planets in the 10th house will affect the presentation of the public image so those may be accounted for.
Aspects to the midheaven such as the conjunctions and opposition may be accounted for, though trines, textiles, and squares can give energy to the Midheaven also, their manifestations will be slightly more subtle. If you are new or intermediate to astrology, aim to only read about conjunctions or oppositions to your MC if you have any. Oppositions will indicate conjunctions to the IC (Imum Coeli) and this will mean that planet is hidden from the public.
