Its been five minutes in these heels, and I’m already ready to stab someone. Why did I waste my paycheck on this outfit again? There’re better be tons and tons of liqueur.

Funny when drunk on happiness. That doesn’t sound like a bad thing to be, I know I tend to babble a lot when I’m excited about something so at least somebody likes it.
Africa? Well, it just seems to me there’s so much left to do and discover there. Every scientist makes their name in Africa. I mean, cheetah conservation, research into the effects of modern life, the discovery of new plants… I keep getting these pamphlets through the mail and I guess they’re sinking in. But sure, you can come. Every scientist needs a glamorous assistant, right?
Love your babblin', actually, 'cause it sounds like 'm listening to a little kid on Christmas or somethin'. That is true; Africa has the toughest problems and needs the brightest minds to solve 'em, like yours. But are you gonna be all right, leavin' your kids at school behind? Oi! Take the "glamorous" out of my title, then we'll talk about me fetching you hot cocoa in the middle of Kenya.
The Clock Strikes Twelve || Vivien & Freddy
Vivien cackled while she stood in the middle of the street. Her eyes followed everyone that passed her, most hurried and tried not to make eye contact. The few who had wished that they hadn’t. Her eyes were as mad as the rest of her. Her tail swished wildly behind her, but other then that she’d stayed in her human form. “Oh my little toys.” She sang while she took a step forward. Her words and the clicking of her heels echoed around the mostly empty square. “Come out, come out, wherever you are. I want to play.” The woman went back to cackling once the words tumbled from her mouth.
"Someone play with me." She called while pouted all too pathetically. "I’m bored and lonely, but it’s getting cold so I can’t keep waiting." Viv grinned for a moment before looking at the ground. When she looked back up she had a sick smirk on her face. "Alright then, I’ll become everyone here’s worst nightmare if no one entertains me by the count of five. "1… 2… 3.."
Prince Ferd exerted a wonderful amount of effort to remove himself from that night's brunette's quarters and out into the streets. Quite honestly, he felt terrible, as always; yet, bullying himself about because of it never did much good, so he didn't exactly dwell on it anymore. In lieu, he accepted his faults, along with the fact that he'd never have Charlotte next to him whenever the curse broke next. This was his time to reflect on Freddy, to appreciate the life he'd built, and to loathe the fact that his Grimswood counterpart would never in a million years land the right girl.
He stumbled into the streets, half-drunk and otherwise perfectly fine. Ferd clutched a bouncy ball in his left hand, due to the fact that it was the only plausible way for him to relieve his stress. He'd seldom spoken to anyone else during this time, and found that changing instantly upon coming across Vivien Pratten. Vivien Pratten, with a tail.
"Kitty want a ball?" He asked irritably, juggling the lone rubber sphere in his clammy hands. Ferdinand had nothing better to do, since his wife was who knows where with who knows who. Bitterly, he doubted that it was possible that she missed him. That simple girl at the bar had enough suitors as it stood. Perhaps she'd woken up in the same position as him - all right, maybe a slightly different one, but the thought hurt all the same. He loved her and missed her and he couldn't see her and Freddy wasn't all right, and all he had right now, all he had to hold on to, was this ball and Vivien Pratten. Vivien Pratten, with a tail.
Well, bearable’s better than hated. And you always keep me from being too serious, so that’s something at least. And you know, they say everyone ends up working for a nerd in the end, so I’d be careful what you say, Freddy!
How times change, huh? I should try and make it down the bar once in a while and hear you play. Then again, it’s never really been my scene. Too many people. But you know, I’ve been feeling the same way, a little. I’ve been saving up to go to Africa, for research or something.
I could never hate you - don't see how anyone could, really. Tha's true. Although, part of the reason I try to make you loosen up is 'cause you're funny when you're drunk on happiness. 'S that right? Then whatever I said before that might offend you was off the record, boss.
You'll be the first to know if the place is empty one night. What brought Africa on? It sounds far away from here enough. Take me with you!
Right. I’d rather beam at the latest issue of Scientific American than a Christmas tree, but people have always said I take the wrong things seriously and the right things not seriously enough.
I’ve been good. Just grading tests for the past few days, nothing really exciting. How about yourself?
To be honest, it's the latter that's always made you bearable for me. Although, there's nothing wrong with enjoying science over decorated branches and oversized ornaments. That'd be interesting to me, too, if I was, y'know, a complete nerd.
Ah, and to think that grading tests used to be the perfect save for me to get out of detention. Guess it's not as thrilling as it's cracked up to be. I've been...all right. Still playing music down at the bar, but the setting's become a bit too familiar over the years, and I'm starting to get a bit of wanderlust.
Yeah, but I didn’t generally get so overexcited about the school tree as my seniors do. Each to their own anyway, feel free get excited about Christmas trees. I mean, I smile, at least.
You smile, at least, yes - but barely. Christmas trees are meant to make you beam, not set your mouth in a mirth-filled line. The again, 'each to their own anyway', right?

Only a little. I mean, it’s certainly different when you’re doing it with family, that’s a bit more emotional. But the school tree is overdoing it.
That's rather mean, actually. I'd be excited about the school tree! I was in high school, and I know you were, too.

Well, I guess that’s the best kind awkward to be. It has its perks…Yea, yea, I’m old enough - I’m twenty-three actually. Weird, I know; I look like I’m twelve. But, it sounds like a great time!… Oh, you perform? Like music or, uhm, the other stuff?
Can't argue with you there. Really? You don't necessarily look twelve; it's the way you act that makes you seem younger than you are. Oh, yes, it'll be wonderful, I promise -. Uh...uh, yeah, I do. 'm flattered that you'd believe me if I said yes to the other stuff, but no. I sing and play guitar.

I hadn’t really thought about it like that, but kind of. Though basically if people were more observant, they would find it fairly easily. I didn’t really go to school, though I suppose that it might be helpful. It’s more of a thing that is in my nature to do, I sort of just fell into it. I never really planned so much, the club just sort of happened. I feel like I should tell you to go to school, but really it’s just a waste of time. Live while your young, don’t waste your life away behind a desk.
Then again, they're hammered; observant isn't exactly in their patron description. Oh, good, 'cause I wasn't planning on finally attending regardless. That's probably the most honest advice anyone has ever given me. They tell you to go to school, but then they can't possibly explain why you should. 'm not fond of desks, me, so you don't have to worry about that last one, Mr. Darcy.

It is a rather nice view, watching down on everyone from above. I guess the window isn’t that visible, especially because it involves you turning your back on the girls. So far I’ve never had anyone find the office unless already told that it was there. Uh, yeah…four years older. I’m not really sure how to explain how I did it. At the risk of sounding cliche I’m going to say a lot of drive and determination. Just knowing the business and how to play the field.
'S like having an invisible cloak for your workspace, then. Hm... I'll be honest here and say I have a lot of drive, but barely any perseverance. Did you have to go to school to learn the business? I haven't gone to college yet; in fact, I dunno if I ever will.
