As uncoordinated as she was, Grace was clueless as to why she had decided to even buy a set of heels as high as she was currently wearing. Granted, they were adorable and their sparkle could be seen from a mile away but, to a girl who sometimes has trouble walking in tennis shoes, heels were a challenge.
Slowly making her way around the party as she tried her best to appear in control of her own feet, one wrong step sent the small brunette tumbling into a chair and whacking her forehead on its well-crafted back. "Urrr," Grace grunted loudly as she righted herself in the chair then gingerly went to examine her head with her right hand; more than pain flashing through her mind as her fingers made contact.
"E-elsa... K-kristoff?" her voice gently murmured as her blue eyes shut tight in pain then reopened to the vivid room around her. Standing slowly as to not injure her head further, Grace's, no Anna's voice gently called out, "Has anyone seen Elsa? O-or a young man named Kristoff?"
happy new year by zeeky110 featuring christmas home decor
Welcome to New Year's Eve...
…done Darcy style. It’s sure to be one hell of a party.
If there’s anything that you need, don’t be afraid to let me know. I’ll find someone who can help you.
Great party! I mean, wow - I haven't been to anything this wonderful in, well, as long as I can remember.
Is there any karaoke by chance?
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the cold?
Perhaps, in that sort of untouched, able to forget that the rest of the world exist sort of way. And even then, it’s only peaceful from the window next to the fire.
I can see that... Heh, that way you get the best of both worlds- the warmth and the snow!
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the cold?
Snow is only good if it’s in a snow globe, other than that it’s just annoying. I don’t really see a point in snow, it just makes life inconvenient for everyone.
Eh, I guess it can kinda get in the way... But you have to admit that it is beautiful - if only for the first snow fall of the year.
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the cold?
One would think that by now, I’d be used to the cold. However the more time I spend in it, the more I come to hate it.
Well, at least the cold gives us snow... For me, as long as it's snowing, I'm happy. Well, as long as I can handle the cold to enjoy it.
The Great Thaw || Anna & Kristoff
Kristoff felt more at ease than he had in a very long time. There she was, safe and in his arms. With her, everything was familiar and comfortable. He tightened his arms around the brunette, as if to be absolutely certain that she wasn’t a figment of his imagination. He’d heard of seeing and hearing things that didn’t really exist, but it wasn’t possible to imagine touch, as far as he knew. However, he still couldn’t bring himself to risk letting go of her and discovering that she really wasn’t there…not yet, at least.
A soft chuckle escaped his lips as she spoke quickly into his chest, her speech essentially unintelligible. “Easy there, Anna,” he said, running his hand soothingly up and down her back. “Well, as you may have assumed, I could barely understand any of it given your positioning, but I think I got the essence.” He cracked a small smile. “I can barely believe this. I mean, I was just thinking about you, worrying about you, really and then I heard your voice and I thought I’d imagined it, but you’re really here.”
Initially, Kristoff’s reaction to Anna’s tears was a negative one, as was to be expected, but even though he had little contact and even less understanding of other people, he could tell that they weren’t something to worry about. They were actually good tears. Tears of joy rather than sorrow. Those, he could definitely live with.
It was interesting how he was generally one to shy away from physical contact with others, but did no such thing around the spunky little ball of energy before him. She seemed to be the exception to many rules. She wasn’t like most princesses, either, not that he’d met any other than her or Elsa—although Elsa was a queen by the time he’d really met her. He had always had an image of them as being poised, snooty, and impossibly uptight. Anna was nothing of the sort and he wouldn’t have had her any other way. “Weird? How so?” he inquired. Anna’s slight fumbling with her speech was all too familiar to Kristoff. After all, he’d said virtually the same thing before they’d shared their first kiss. “Of course,” he answered nearly breathlessly, leaning ever closer to Anna until their lips finally met.
Simply staring in pure admiration towards her blond companion as a gentle sigh left her between her lips, Anna found herself lost in all that Kristoff was. Like many times in her past - the past that had only recently remembered- the princess got lost in her own thoughts as her eyes refused to let go of the man in front of her. Sitting in silence for a few moments as she was content just existed in the same space as her long lost iceman, Anna jumped back into reality as she continued to defend how weird was a good thing. "I mean, you know~ It's you, obviously, but we're kinda different..." Gently rubbing the back of her head in an embarrassed fashion, the touch of her hair brought out an idea. "Like, for example, my hair is brown. It wasn't this brown before. I don't mind that it's brown, it actually reminds me of my mom but, it's not my old hair. You see? Like I said, it's not bad just, different."
From there, Anna nervously fell through her words that reminded her of a day from the past that almost felt like it was during a completely different lifetime. And, with a simple sentence, her request was made a reality. With his lips gently pressing against her own, the brunette instinctively leaned forward to match how far her had to reach to meet her. While her balance was never the best, with her arms still wrapped around his torso, Anna was decently stable from her perch on the bar top.
Holding onto the kiss as long as Kristoff would allow, the two eventually and reluctantly pulled away from each other's second embrace and Anna sat back onto her heels. Her eyes falling from his face for the first time since they had been reunited, the princess's eyebrows furrowed gently as her voice spoke with a little pain. "I'm sorry I haven't been able to find you until now... I missed you like crazy but," she paused softly as her eyes slowly made their way back to Kristoff's face, happiness returning just at the sight. "But I'm usually with Elsa... B-but I just can't find it in myself to leave... I don't ever want to leave you. We need to find a way to remember."
Maybe I don’t have a magic touch And maybe I don’t have a talent as such Just this heart with much, too much to share So I’ll never be the heir, but I’m more than just a spare
The Great Thaw || Anna & Kristoff
Alec was sitting behind the bar, bored as ever, when his eyes wandered briefly to the clock. It was almost midnight, which meant that his shift wouldn’t be too much longer and he could soon retire to the peace and solitude of his home. As the clock struck midnight, Alec was immediately overwhelmed by an influx of memories of an entirely different life that he’d somehow forgotten completely. Shocked and disoriented, he gripped the bar tightly just to maintain his equilibrium in the temporary and sudden state of confusion.
He was not just some bartender. He was an ice harvester and the official ice deliverer of Arendelle—though he still didn’t believe that was really a title until the queen and princess fabricated it especially for him. His name wasn’t even really Alec Sorenson, he remembered. How had he forgotten his own name? “It’s Kristoff,” he said at a volume intended for only his ears, although it wasn’t as if anyone was that close to him at the time, anyway. Of course, that was to be expected when it came to him. No person ever really wanted to be particularly close to him. Well, that wasn’t exactly true. There was one and only one. She wasn’t just anybody, either. She was the well-meaning and endearingly awkward princess of Arendelle, the only girl who’d been persistent and lovable enough to get past what most people saw in him and truly understand who he was despite his gruff speech and tendency to push people away.
She was the only person he’d ever been able to really get close to. He had always had an easier time with animals and trolls than he had with humans. People just didn’t get him like she did. Anna, he thought, the mere thought of her bringing a smile to his face. A sudden feeling of panic washed over him as he realized that he had absolutely no idea where Anna was or if she was even okay. What if she needed his help? It wasn’t as if he could assist in any way when he didn’t even know where she was or how to find her.
Then, at precisely the perfect moment, Kristoff heard a strikingly familiar voice call his name. It couldn’t have really been Anna, could it? His mind had to be playing tricks on him. In spite of his suspicions that he could only pray were incorrect, he turned his head in the direction that the voice came from to see none other than Anna herself running towards him. “Anna!” he exclaimed, wrapping his arms around her in a tight embrace as soon as she was close enough for him to do so. “Are you really here?” he asked, his voice muffled.
Burying her face as deep as she possibly could into his chest, Anna arms instinctively found their away his torso. As soon as her body made contact with his own, her fingers grabbed his shirt so tight that she was sure that her hand prints may remain there long after she ever found the strength to let go. She wasn't exactly how long they had been apart but all she knew that it had been too long - way too long. But, despite their time apart, he still smelled the same.... Well, what he smelled like after a shower before having time to cuddle with Sven.
Choking back tears as her face attempted to nuzzle further into her long lost love's essence, the brunette usual rapid words began to flow from her lips even though most of her words were lost within his chest. "Waar heve ou- 'eeeeen?I -av' issss'd ou oh -ch...I-ean -wit' elah n' ahl ut ou're 'ere and... and," and with these words, Anna found it within herself to pull her freckled face from his warm embrace and let her crystal eyes meet his darker set. "And now here you are. Right here, in front of me.... A-and you didn't hear any of that, did you?"
With a gentle smell and subtle, genuine laugh, tears welled in the brunette's eyes as she found it hard to contain her emotions for the man before her. While she found it weird that she was nearly crying even though she was happier than she had been in as long as she could remember in her recent past, she honestly didn't care. She had found him - she had finally found Kristoff.
Slowly pulling herself up to a position where she was sitting back on her legs on top of the bar, Anna hand softly found Kristoff's cheek and jawline as her eyes traced the dirty blond's features. Blinking slow as she took in as much as possibly could, the brunette found her thumb gently stroking his strong, rough cheek. "This place makes us all look a little weird, doesn't it? B-but not in a bad way... Just, different," she nearly cooed to him as her eyes refused to leave his face or the sight of his own in fear that if she looked away she would for some reason forget even when her words held a hit on embarrassment.
"I'm so happy I could kiss you - I-I mean I would like to, uh, would we, um, could we?"
My mom doesn't approve of my lifestyle.
Can’t argue with you there. Really? You don’t necessarily look twelve; it’s the way you act that makes you seem younger than you are. Oh, yes, it’ll be wonderful, I promise -. Uh…uh, yeah, I do. ‘m flattered that you’d believe me if I said yes to the other stuff, but no. I sing and play guitar.
Eh, I guess that could be true... O-o-ohhh, music... Music, right. That makes more sense then- yea. I can see that. I can see you as a musician...
I-hmmm...Yea, I can see that...

Grace Going Out by zeeky110
The Great Thaw || Anna & Kristoff
As the clock struck twelve, for a moment everything seemed to stop. Frozen mid breath with her crystal eyes remained fixated on the liquor in front of her, an overwhelming sensation of confusion swept over the female. With the name 'Grace' ringing in her ears from the recent speech of her companion, something didn't feel right. While 'Grace' was fitting for the slightly uncoordinated brunette, something within her suddenly agreed otherwise. Then, just as a wave crashes against the beach during high tide, it all hit her.
She was not Grace Frost, she was Anna, Princess of Arendelle. And her sister, Rowena, no Elsa, her sisters name was Elsa and - oh no. ELSA.
Quickly jumping to her feet as a look of confusion overtook her features at the thought of her quiet sister, Grace, no, Anna gently murmured, "She's all alone and - and she could hurt herself." With the return of her sister's powers, she couldn't just leave her alone let alone spending the evening out partying with... Oh, where did she go. Turning to say goodbye to her most recent companion and take her leave, the blonde had herself disappeared. Anna vaguely remembered hearing saying something along the lines that she had to go herself but, seeing as she was being bombarded by memories of her forgotten past, she may have blocked out a few details...
Searching for a familiar face in the crowd to ensure that Roxanne, or whatever her true name was, would make it home safely wherever she had run off to, Anna froze as a face caused all air to leave her body all at once. "K-kristoff..." her voice weakly managed to murmur as her chest once more was able to draw in air. Was it really him? Was he here too? The bartender? He was a bartender? Yes. It was him - it was her Kristoff.
"Kristoff!" Unlike before, the brunette did not hold back. Her voice on the verge of cracking as she called out to him, Anna wouldn't let anything stand in her way. Pushing away her stool as she ran towards the end of the bar he was currently serving, the Princess felt no regret as propelled her body onto the bar before her and prepared to engulf the male in her arms.
Time for a Drink
Roxanne let out a laugh and brought the girl in for a hug. “And I’m glad you didn’t!” she replied with a warm grin. She slapped her hand onto the county lightly, and put on a mock serious expression. “Now is where the fun begins. It’s not a night on the town until you have some liquor in you.” She said with a cheeky grin, flagging down a bartender to order their drinks.
Returning the hug gladly, Grace chuckled once more before she quickly found herself a seat beside the beautiful blonde. Slowly unbuttoning her jacket, the brunette jumped lightly as Roxanne slammed her hand against the bar. Turning her blue orbs in her general direction, Grace blushed ever so lightly as her head gave two short nods. "Yea... Night on the town... Liquor..." Pausing absentmindedly as her eyes flickered back and forth between the selection of liquors lining the back of the bar and Roxanne, Grace unintentionally created a dramatic pause as she finally managed to murmur. "So, what if I've never managed to have a drink before? Well, other than a small glass of wine here or there for holidays..."
Time for a Drink
Roxanne had gotten to the bar approximately fifteen minutes before her companion had, and had acquired a stool on the opposite end of the bar. Ordering a simple Martini, the blonde leaned back against the bar to survey the crowd, keeping a watchful eye out for her brunette friend. She caught sight of the girl not long after, and waved her over as she finished the last of her drink. “Hey, Grace, over here!” She called over the dull roar of music and people.
With a wide smile and a loud voice, Grace happily chirped, "AH! Hello!" Nearly scampering over to the blonde, the brunette allowed a large grin to over take her face as her lightly freckled cheeks happily pressing against the edge of her bright eyes. Skidding to a stop next to this evening's partner in crime, Grace gently laughed for continuing a few volumes lower, "So, I guess I didn't get lost!"
