Okay I JUST realized I never posted these on here—- BUT BASICALLY, about a year and a half ago I started doing these experimental black hairstyle posts that were threads long on Twitter, to give artists a source of inspo for their black ocs whose hair they wanted to try something new with! There’s more to black hair than just the selected styles portrayed in media, and I thought it would be fun to show people how much texture, shape, fades, length, and style can be combined when drawing black hair—-cause it’s a kind of manipulation our hair can do irl! The OG posts were lost with the hacking of my original Twitter account (@/bagels_donuts) but I’ve since reuploaded the whole thread to my new Twitter (@/ItsDonutsFR)! It is so fucking difficult to learn a second language. So I'm in my second year of American Sign Language (ASL) classes and I am required to attend a deaf event.
So here I was, walking into this coffee shop for a deaf event. Completely terrified, only half fluent, hands too shaky to fucking Sign. I was mixing up signs left and right.
And these sweet deaf people were so patient with me. I ended up barely signing with anyone other than my friend who came with me.
Anyone who has ever had to learn a second language, unable to speak your native one, I have SO MUCH respect for you. This shit is hard.
Thanks for this @inthewaytoamultilinguallife . It's good to know I'm not alone in my struggle. Also, 5 languages?! Dude, that's so cool. As an American, it's not standard to even know 2. The resources for learning more languages are just not readily available. The time it takes to learn 5 LANGUAGES... kudos to you :)

Realistically, I can't know what their reactions would be. But I like to think they're Arthur's biggest supporters.
Mostly because they want to dump this neurotic, salty, old ass Englishman on someone else.
I think that the younger royals especially would think they were poetic and very romantic.
You have a couple options for replying to tags:
1. screenshot/copy the tags onto the post and reblog it from them with your reply, @-ing them is option in this case (most common method I’ve seen)
2. You could copy the tags and maybe use @s with the comments feature to reply
3. Screenshot/copy the tags onto a new post and @ them with your reply

This sort of au has been done numerous times before by others, but an au where Alfred inadvertently ends up getting pranked by the fae and ends up back in 1100 A.D with a feral albeit equal aged Arthur who’s wondering about
a) Where Alfred got his clothes to be that blue b) What’s on his face and c) Why is he simultaneously a threat and a source of familiarity?
And I’m thinking about how Arthur ends up needing to step in to make sure Alfred doesn’t kill himself on accident, because while the guy might be well-trained for hunting and self defense with a gun and hand to hand - Swords, staffs and archery just isn’t on the board of things he’s particularly skilled at fighting with.
Archery is his best bet, but I don’t see Arthur being particularly keen on sharing his bow and arrows, so Alfred ends up needing to learn how to make his own.
And since they have absolutely nothing to do besides woodworking, walking and talking with each other, there ensues a lot of talking, and I am rubbing my mischievous little hands together, because the possibilities for a strange father-son bonding on equal terms is ENDLESS.
