Things that I’ve learned from Tom Petty/Joe Walsh’s concert this past week (I’m going to be blogging about it on my personal wordpress/portfolio blog a little bit more in detail later on):
Both Tom and Joe are both insanely down to earth and insanely talented.
Joe is hilarious and is basically like a dad (Esp. when he performed Life’s Been Good)
Intermission is actually a thing at rock concerts.
I’ll be honest: I’m not too familiar with Joe’s music – but after the concert, I think I’ll explore his work a little bit more – both solo/Eagles/whatever. It’s actually not that bad!
I was basically blown away when Tom Petty came out, and it made me appreciate his music so much more.
Favorite songs included: Life’s Been Good, Take It To The Limit, Wildflowers, American Girl, Refugee, Free Fallin’.
The venue was PACKED, and there were some people who were a little bit tipsy in my section, but they were having fun at the concert – so it didn’t really bother me.
Band merchandise is expensive – seriously, one t-shirt was freaking $50.
Lots of respect to their bands as well – They’re incredible musicians!
Overall, the concert was amazing, and I’m so glad that they stopped by my university! Hopefully more bands/artists like them will stop by someday!
(*coughs* I’m looking at you Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr *coughs*)
