Basically! Diaval was your average gay kid living in New York^_^ He had a little sister and brother and a great mom and silly dad, to whom he was out to<3
However, all the silly silly ended one night.
They were robbed and taken hostage in their own home. The robber kept them there for a few days, occasionally leaving the house and, when asked by neighbors or friends, gave the alibi that he was family visiting.
After day four of being held hostage, Zoe, Diaval’s little sister, managed to get out of her ropes and other things that were tying her up. She got to a phone and called 911, telling them about their situation. But, the robber came back shortly after she hung up the call. He pieced together what had happened and..well, killed her. Then he killed Diaval’s dad, then his mom, right in front of him. The reason Diaval has the face scar is because of the robber. He was about to be killed when 911 showed up. He was then placed in foster care afterwards, along with therapy. After a year or two, he ran away from his foster family and moved to the small town where Darwin lives! Where everyone knew everyone and nothing ever happened. He got a steady job and rented out an apartment before attending Darwin’s school. He gets a lot of panic attacks and mood swings sometimes. It kinda just depends on what’s happening and what’s triggering it. :P And he’s a MASSIVE nerd!!!! DX
Ok! Darwin doesn’t have much as far as trauma and stuff goes, but he used to have a boyfriend! They dated for years when he found out his boyfriend had a brain tumor. His bf knew, but didn’t tell him. By the time he knew, it was too late. And since then, Derwin has always been a little..ehh..sensitive? Crybaby? Both, somewhat. He used to be pretty social and have good grades, but his bf’s death affected that a lot. The people of the town talked about it for weeks, which didn’t exactly make him feel better.
