Tumblr fam, even though I still ain’t even close to where I wanna be with this DJ life, all my current success traces back to this very blog. 

Can you believe I’ve been making mixtapes and posting each and every one of them on here for y’all since 2010? Six glorious years, and ‘til this day most of y’all are still rockin’ with me. I know Tumblr has lowkey turned into a desert now, but if any of y’all are still on here, I just want you guys to know that I went ahead and uploaded every official release of mine on mixcrate, and now they’re all available for streaming. Yes, all of them. Each and every tape I’ve released on here since I was 18. For you. 

I’m on this super nostalgic tip right now looking back on all these cover arts. Looking back on all the planning it took to market them, from the teasers, conceptual art for each cover, the collaborations, everything. None of this shit would’ve been possible if it weren’t for all you guys. That is so fucking tight man. So enjoy! If you haven’t listened to these in a while, nows your opportunity.

I tried to do what at the time I thought no one else had seriously considered: fleeing the country to free myself of unbearable student debt. I was a refugee when I was a child, and I didn’t think it was outlandish to be a refugee again - first from American imperialism in El Salvador and then from anarchocapitalism at Reed College.

This is the first article of its kind I’ve seen spotlighting this super real trend that I was already seeing back in 2009.
