Taemin took a deep breath, unfolding the piece of paper for maybe the 100th time to review his written words.
Choi Minki, what can I say? We've been together for a month and it's been the happiest month I've experienced in my life. Hopefully, we have many more to come. I'm looking forward to it.
I promise to stay by your side. Through our best and worst, I'll hold your hand through it all. We may fight and cry in the future, but I'll always find a way to make you smile again. I don't want you to experience the pain I've suffered in the pass, and you never will. I'll try my very best to be sure of it. I gave up my wings just to be with you. Trust me when I say that I'll never regret this decision. Now my duty is to protect you also, which I will do with all my... non-life? Um okay anyway. You know what I mean~
Goddamn, he could be so cheesy sometimes. Shaking his head, he continued reading.
There are so many thoughts that roam through my mind when I'm with you. One being how much happier I feel. I really do feel a lot more energetic and bubbly I guess you could say (despite my natural laziness). Another about how I'm most likely the luckiest man on earth. The thought that someone like you could possibly adore someone like me... it's a miracle. Lastly, my concern for YOUR welfare. I feel like I could mess up and lose you, which causes me to seem a bit clingy at times. I'm sorry, I really am.
I've said this before, but you're my moon and the stars. They keep the dark night sky company with their beautiful luminosity, much like how you make my life a lot less lonely. Furthermore, they're very pretty and comforting to look at (although, I much rather stare at you...) Most of all, even if the moon and stars aren't visible, I know they're there. You're still there for me.
My Minki, my Rennie, my baby, my moon and the stars. I love you.
Taemin smiled and nodded in approval before sticking it into an envelope, along with the black half of a yin yang necklace. The white part was hidden under his shirt, on the same chain as his sun ring. Honestly, he could instead tell all of these things to Ren, but what was wrong with letting the boy have a written copy of it to read his words over and over again if he wanted?
Smiling confidently, Taemin headed back downstairs to the blonde, "I'm back!" he beamed, striding over to the couch and plopping down next to the younger. "Happy one month." With that being said, he held the envelope in front of Minki, biting his lip in excitement and nervousness.
Minki smiled brightly, pecking the other's cheek as he took the envelope, not entirely sure what to expect before opening the envelope. Reading slowly as some of it was a bit small for his eyes.
The brunette could feel tears well in his eyes, holding the necklace in his lap and holding the letter with his hand, his free hand wiping away the almost uncontrollable crying emitting from him. Minki struggled to find his words, overwhelmed and settled for squeezing the older against him.
"I love you too. So so much Tae."
He held up the necklace for Taemin to clasp, the charm sliding against his star ring he had gotten previously with one of the brightest smiles he'd ever shown, truly happy with the gift before planting a barrage of kisses across his face.
