HC ⟶ RELIGION & TITAN .

very brief tl;dr —— wrath.ia & possibly the other “demons” are seen as deities in od.in’s religion.

so! this headcanon is pretty meta-y & theres a pretty big chance itll be wrong BUT because i doubt we’ll be finding out for a while, this is what i’m going to go with until its proven otherwise !

to start off with some backstory, basically o.din & his family are rebels against the current ruler of the universe, ti.tan. o.din is shown to have an extremely negative opinion of him to the point of showing visible disdain & downright refusing to shake gi.l’s (a devote follower of tit.an) hand despite him being a seemingly good person who even patched up his wounds. this opinion seems to be shared by his family based on some of the things he’s said —— the biggest one imo being “my parents taught me that it’s important to research those who have power over your surroundings.” (pg 1068) now, while he seems to say it very slowly & it may even be a bluff based on how he stops stuttering towards the end of it, it’s safe enough to say that his family dislikes t.itan as well.

the thing is, if o.din isn’t a follower of ti.tan, then what is he ? there haven’t been any other religions mentioned in the comic so far & there’s a good chance he might just be an athiest, but get this —— if ti.tan is such a huge religious figure throughout the universe, wouldn’t you think that maybe wra.thia is a similar story ? considering how ti.tan basically took over her empire overnight, it seems like perfect situation to base a religion on. especially for those who are against ti.tan like the arrow family.

HC / ODIN : AQUAPHOBIA .

tl;dr his aquaphobia is pretty severe ; he gets anxious just being around it. hip height & above will either have him panicking & scrambling or full on in shock and not knowing what to do. takes him a while to calm down after it happens. p much don’t let him near water because its easier for everyone that way.

as mentioned in odi.n’s profile & in other out-of-comic contexts, he has aquaphobia. while we don’t know exactly why he has this, it’s heavily hinted that water had something to do with the reason why he has pedri ( or at least something life threatening happened with water . ) judging by one of his portraits ( tw for a bare chest & a knife ! ) , it definitely seems that he’s laying in a pool of water with large chunks of ice.

to get on with this quickly, i feel like his aquaphobia is due to drowning as a child ( 8 years old ?? 9 ?? somewhere in that range. ) which was a borderline lethal experience. it was bad enough that he entered a state of limbo ( similar to how gil & ava did ) but was eventually resurrected. pedri, either having had a different host who died or simply dying at that point, had attached himself to odin as his demon by the time he was brought back.

if he’s near water, he’s only a bit anxious. he avoids walking in it but he won’t be geniunely scared unless the water begins to reach his hips. once the water is at hip height, however, there’s a good chance he’ll either have a bad anxiety attack & try to scramble his way out of there or full on freeze up until someone leads him away from the water. this is because it becomes a lot harder to walk & control your movements once its at that height. once he’s out of the water, he’s extremely fidgety & easy to scare. his stutter gets much worse and he definitely needs a while to calm down after that.
