So so so- it was a butterfly effect kinda thing. They were out on a boat they weren't supposed to be on- no lifejacket, wearing that heavy ass jacket- when they saw what they could've sworn was some guy (Max) beating the shit out of someone (some nerdy prude). They leaned over the boat to get a better look but uh. Fucking drowned. Literally all their own fault
