Flambae taking Waterboy on a "date", where they are flying to different spots with fantastics view. Actually Flambae owed Waterboy a favor and Waterboy asked him. BUT it kinda feels like a date? The feelings and romantic tension are defintely there. And maybe they kisses eachother while Flambae is holding Waterboy. (Both Flambae and Waterboy love romance)
And yes, Flambae took Waterboy on a flight before, but that was only during work, where they had to be punctual. So no time to enjoy the view
So I don't think anything I'm gonna write will be better than this by @beepartcollection but I'll try.
(I'm writing this as happening after they've already kissed but before they've made things official.)
"Um, hey, F-flambae?"
Chad furrowed his brow at Herm's stuttered greeting.
"Sup?"
Herm grimaced and slid into the seat across from him in the break room. He leaned closer, so Chad leaned closer. Bold, in the break room, but he wasn't opposed to it.
"Just wondering, um-uh, what you-if you, were busy-free, later-after work-tonight?"
Chad grinned. "Not for you."
Herm's face fell. "Oh, okay, yeah-sure, no problem."
"Busy, dumbass. I'm not busy."
"Oh! Heh, okay, well great."
"What did you have in mind?" Chad could think of a few choice things they could do, but easy, he told himself, patience, don't scare him.
Herm's rosy cheeks went a darker shade of red. "Um, remember, when you said-told me, you-you used to go-fly, to Catalina?"
Chad took a deep breath. He forgot how fucking irritating it was when Herm stammered like this, but he was obviously nervous, so Chad dug for patience. "Yeah."
Herm wiped at his forehead, beading with water. This wet fuck.
"Y-you, want to?" Herm finally asked, staring at his knees, bouncing anxiously under the table.
Chad was glad Herm wasn't looking at him, because he couldn't trust that his face wasn't betraying him right now. As it was, little fucking butterflies were flapping around in his stomach and his heart felt like it was trying to break free from his rib cage.
"You want to fly with me?"
Herm met his eye, teeth chewing his full lower lip in a nearly irresistible way. "Mm-hm."
Chad inclined his head, not trusting himself to speak.
"Okay!" Herm said too loudly. His chair scraped against the linoleum as he made to stand. "Good-great-cool. So, yeah, I need to-water, but I'll see you later-tonight-but also, after lunch, probably. Okay, geez, I'm going-bye-good-yep."
And he hurried away before Chad could even say goodbye.
Herm had only flown with Chad a few times, usually for work, and in a few emergency situations, but he was always terrified, always worried that Chad was going to hurt him or drop him.
But not now. Now he trusted him to fly them over the fucking ocean.
On a date.
Chad pulled out his phone and immediately started searching for all the most romantic vistas and best kept secret beaches. Places that Herm could only dream of reaching on his own two feet.
They hadn't been on an official date yet. And if this was the first one, Chad was going to make sure it was fucking perfect.
