Good to be back.
Well, cheers anyway.
Nothing, I’m never doing anything. It’s pretty fucking boring around here. Meet you at Fishponds at 7?
Definitely boring. Think we should change that?
Sounds perfect to me.

As nice as it for you to remind me, Nick. I’ve never forgotten. Bristol’s my bitch.
So, you going to ask me out for catchup drinks or what?
Just thought you needed a little push.
Drinks? Yeah, definitely. What are you doing tonight?
Good to be back.
Miss him?
I’m here on work. Love it, honestly. It’s never been better.
Naturally. But I'm also pretty happy he's gone.
What do you do for a living, then?
Good to be back.
Anythin’ else interestin’?
My brother's in jail, that's about all I've got.
What about you? Why did you decide on Bristol?
Good to be back.
Neither would I. Maybe not Vogue… yet.
Don't doubt yourself, Mins. You're the queen bee, remember?
Good to be back.
Ah, I see. The ol’ ex thing, that.
Bit awkward innit?
Awkward?
You could say that.
Good to be back.
As flattered as I am that’d you assume I was working my way into the royal court of England, or something… I haven’t been doing a lot lately, just working on getting my name out there in the modelling agencies. Only just got back into town, actually.
Modeling? You're definitely cut out for it, I wouldn't be surprised if I saw you in Vogue next week.

It had been months since Franky had broken off her relationships with the Levan brothers, and she had thought that that was it, that they had gotten over each other, moved on, found new, better, more exciting things. But here she was, zipping up her £300, envy green, floral lace dress, preparing herself for heading out on her first real date in several months. With Nick. And though she had reluctantly agreed, the last thing she wanted to do was confuse him; this was a one-time deal. She may have been fucking half of the town’s population, but knowing Nick, that wasn’t all he wanted, and she was out of the relationship business for good, or so she was determined to convince herself.
There had been no doubt in her mind that Franky Fitzgerald had loved Nick Levan almost more than she’d ever loved another human being. He and his brother had been her first and only loves in her short lifetime, and though she’d never forgotten them, she had known from the beginning how hard any relationships would be on all of them. Even so, she’d embarked on their adventures, only to get herself caught in a whirlwind of broken hearts, so she’d left for good. Or so she had believed.
He had texted her, telling her to dress up, because they were heading to a formal place, which made her a little suspicious. After assessing herself in her full length mirror, she walked over to her jewelry box, pulling out a simple, silver chain with a silver band hanging from the middle, latching it around her neck. It hung low, sitting in between the curves of her chest. Next, she inserted the brilliant diamond studs into her ears, her eyes glimmering as brightly as the earrings themselves. She stepped into her black stilettos, and ruffled her hair slightly before catching sight of her honey-coloured eyes. Though there was the hint of a smile on her lips, she could see an expression in her chocolate brown that caught her off-guard. It was one that was screaming for help. But before she could reflect, she was pulled from her spell by the knock of her front door. With one last glance in the mirror, she grabbed her clutch and headed out the door.
Nick turned away from the door for a few moments, staring at the lightly colored sky, he knew it would get dark soon, but for now it was a pale blue. It would be a night to remember and he tried to get the picture in his head. Upon hearing the door open, he turned his head to face the most beautiful girl he thought he'd ever lay his eyes on; Franky Fitzgerald. The sky was nothing compared to her, and he knew that the mental picture he'd taken would disappear from his mind, because he'd be far too busy remembering the moment she walked out of her father's house. She looked absolutely stunning, the dark forest green made her chocolate brown eyes even more memorable. "God, Franky, you look amazing." He told her, putting a genuine smile on his face. He tried not to stare, and before he could be called out on it, which he was sure the short haired girl would do if she felt the need, he turned away again. "Shall we?" He said, before taking a few steps towards the silver car he now owned.
He walked to the passenger seat and held the door open, waiting for Franky to get in. Once she had, he wandered over to his side, one hand in his pocket. "I've decided on Italian, I hope that's alright with you." He spoke as he turned the ignition. As soon as the engine revved to life, the music he'd been listening to on his way over came on. I'm not looking for a love that will last. I know what I need and I need it fast. He immediately disconnected his phone and shot the woman an apologetic look. "Fucking idiot," he mumbled to himself, looking forward. He pushed his foot down lightly on the gas pedal, allowing the car to move forward. "So, what had you been doing?" He started, realizing he hadn't given her enough information to answer the question. "I mean, in the time I was gone. Did you stay in Bristol, or did you get out of this hellhole?" He gave a nervous smile and glanced at her for a second, awaiting her answer.
It’s quite frightening.
Maybe you've just got to be the right type of person to deal with it, yeah?
Good to be back.
Franky your girlfriend, then?
Uh, no... No, she's not. We're really close is all, and we used to date, but there's not really much going on besides that.
Good to be back.
I’ll make sure to remind you, don’t worry.
So, Has good old Nickasaur been up to anything worth hearing about?
Good to know.
Course not, Mins. Nothing that'd compare to whatever you've been doin, anyways.
When's the party, yeah?
My kind of man, right here! What’s your fucking name, mate?
Nick Levan, you are?
Good to be back.
It’s not possible for me to get any nicer, Nick.
I’m already a saint.
Right, I must have forgotten.
Good to be back.
Isn’t that what everyone says about their hometown? Shit, s’pose I’m not there, now am I?
Guess not. You'll figure out eventually that Bristol was definitely not the right choice for you, it's almost the worst place on earth. I wouldn't have come back if it wasn't for Franky.
These nutters think I’m their mate.
Nothing wrong with being a little nutty, is there?
Bristol..
Nick! Oi, I’ve truly missed ya. Have you been doin’ well?
N-No, Grace... I haven't been 'doing well' because I've been sitting here thinking about you... a-and Matty, and Rich.
We all thought you were dead.

Nick had no clue that being as happy as he was at the moment was possible. He would have never expected Franky to agree to this date, but was extremely glad she had. The thing was, with the short haired girl, no usually meant no. But that wasn't the deal for tonight, and he knew he had a chance with her, and he wasn't going to let it slip this time. Matty was out of the picture, and for the past year, it seemed like a terrible thing, There was no Franky to fight over, and now that the two of them were back without his headfuck brother, they could finally fix things and maybe keep them pieced together. From the beginning, their relationship had been fucked, and if he was to be completely honest, things were still probably fucked, but that didn't mean he couldn't try, right? Right.
He opened the closet door in his room, searching for a suit to wear, but unfortunately, found nothing. He knew the things he'd need to put the outfit together were packed away somewhere in a box and wondered whether he'd have time to look. He decided against it and went to the store to find something to buy. He ended up finding a navy suit, a black tie, black shoes, a pair of white socks and a nice white shirt. To complete the whole thing, he bought a silver watch, not bothering to fix the time on it. He put all of the clothes in a bag, speeding home in his car and ironed the clothes before hopping in the shower.
Once all of this was done, he dried himself off, styled his hair and brushed his teeth. He grabbed a clean pair of boxers and dressed himself appropriately, knowing he'd overdone it. She would probably be in something simple, maybe not even a dress. He decided to send her a quick text, telling her to wear something fancy, as he'd be taking her somewhere nice. He glanced in the mirror quickly before heading out the door to pick her up. "Perfect," he said to himself, and got into his car, driving to the beautiful women's new address.
