I dunno who the mod/s is/are but I’m guessing they made it because they have a bit (or a lot idk idk) of investment into the media/fandom. So even if the fandom is small, they care enough to bring these sorts of things up because they sometimes are quite ridiculous and have no place anywhere (it’s just that this particular fandom is being used as an example). The games/characters/etc are merely used to exemplify the OP’s greater problem. 

Something that’s “dumb” is often subject to personal opinion, so I’m guessing the mods can’t be too specific about what’s submitted (unless it’s blatantly unrelated to the topic at hand). In the example you selected, it isn’t a “blip” so to speak on a lot of matters (i.e. it doesn’t have any potentially triggering subjects) so while it may be dumb it also reaches the level of “acceptable” (par for the course fandom stuff). But it begins to border on telling people how to interact with their media (declaring a game bad to every single audience member and if they don’t believe it, they’re wrong; shaming people for enjoying a particular media, etc etc). While that does happen in every fandom, I don’t think it’s right. 

It’s true, though, what you said; the larger the fandom, the higher propensity there is for wild, deranged bullshittery. So the things we find on that blog probably seems petty in comparison to other fandoms in which we may take part (oh man Homestuck omg).

I remember the Zelos thing; I only saw it after it passed over and heard about from other people. I hope the OP of that comment learned why there was a problem with saying that (and believing what was implied that the OP believed by saying that comment. If that makes sense oh my god my sentence structure is terrible does any of the following paras make any sense).

I can understand that sentiment but as someone who has had conversations w/fans about how social conditioning impacts fandom interaction, the only thing mocking stuff in this fashion will do is stir shit.  Of course, no one is under the obligation to educate blah blah, but if someone is willing to go to the extent of making a new blog about problematic attitudes in one specific fandom without any explanation and toss in trivial things like "fandom shaming" about what is/isn't a good game, it looks like a solid mockery blog to me.

Saying something is/isn't indisputably good is so far removed from the SJ spectrum that IMO it doesn't have a place on something with the intention to address SJ issues.  Yeah, saying that something is/isn't a good game or whatever is a rude thing to say that can hurt people's feelings, and I'm not saying it's appropriate behavior (it isn't), but that has fuckall to do with SJ!  I would say it actually is the responsibility of the moderator to filter submissions if they are aiming for one specific issue, especially if there are multiple blogs about this kind of thing in an overall small fandom.
