More from Hidcote.
Today a friend and I went to Hidcote manor gardens in Gloucestershire. I had heard so much about it, and was so excited to see it. It didn’t disappoint. We got to experience it in the rain and then the sun and it was perfect.
I love the beautiful range of colours you get with sweet peas. Not to mention that they smell incredible!
Today we were visited by the Moseley in Bloom judges. Our grove always makes a special effort, (one lady was even hoovering outside this morning!) and it’s taken very seriously in the village itself. Lots of people get involved to make it look pretty, and our grove has won gold for the last 2 years. I love living somewhere that cares so much about these things.
Hi, nice to meet you! I'm Sarah, and I live in a little house on a grove in Moseley just outside Birmingham. I'm studying towards my RHS level 2 in 'Principles of Horticulture' which I go to for a couple of hours on a Wednesday evening. I'm a little bit obsessed with gardening and decided to start a tumblr to keep record of ideas and inspiration for my own little space. I'm sometimes a little daunted by how much there is to learn in the wonderful world of horticulture, but I'm loving the journey. Gardening has really helped me with my anxiety and depression, and I hope one day I can work within the industry. Watch this space!
