We were all once star dust, remember that.

encountering an inconvenience while cold: damn that sucks, oh well, i’ll figure something else out!!
encountering an inconvenience while hot: we all deserve to die right now, come on everyone, lets all go die
this is my art project yippee
ROLY POLY BUG OF THE DAY
Okay so roly-polys (or the common pill bug) is one of the cutest little guys I love them, but the fun thing about them is that they are actually not bugs but crustaceans that have adapted to living on land! I’m gonna include them in my bug facts tho since people usually associate them as a bug and also because I love them.
These little guys are actually the only crustacean that has become completely adapted to living on land. There most common line of defense that gets them their roly poly name is the fact they roll into a ball when disturbed!
They are also nocturnal species that during the day can be found under rocks and leaves where it’s dark and humid.
They feed primarily on decaying leaves or decomposing materials, making them Detritivores!
REDRAW!!!
New one is the first picture and the old one is the second picture
I’m pretty proud of the way I made her look more detailed and such but I think I still love the background from the original more!
(Also made her an angel in the new one cause I love angels,,)
Okay so some of the oddities and stuff I have collected so far and imma show it to yall (not including insects I have pinned myself, that will be a different post)
Okay first off is my lovely field mouse Herbert! I got him from a really cool taxidermy shop and I love him so much
Next is this cool butterfly, I found this at in antique store and I couldn’t resist
Okay and my lovely black stag beetle, one of my favorites and also my first tattoo I actually have atm is of a stag beetle so he is very dear to my heart
These are some vials of bones and also my cats whiskers that I have found, the bones I collected myself from owl pellets
Then my vial of teeth!! Shark and canine teeth of course
A Beautiful butterfly wing which I got from the same place I buy my specimens for pinning! Which is littlecaterpillarart if you want to check them out, really cool shop!
And last guy is a beetle in a marble, pretty cool tbh I love it so much just a little guy
Drawing I made a little bit ago that I’m so proud of!!
A lot of my art has been focusing on purity culture and the false idea of innocence as of late
Oh how I miss those summers I spent running around the woods as a kid
Art by me :)!
Millipedes! The angel with many legs
Okay so I’m a very big bug lover, but one of my all time favorites bugs is the beautiful and cute millipede and I’m gonna tell you some facts about these guys!
For starters, millipedes are not the same as centipedes, one of the main differences is that millipedes actually lack stingers or pinchers to fend off from predators, they actually rely on their hard exoskeletons as their primary defense! But some can also produce hydrogen cyanide which is a noxious liquid that is toxic to small animals!
Another little fact about millipedes is that they are scavengers and detrivores which means they break down dead material and return the nutrients from that back to the soil!
