what i specifically love about a regect as a series (and many other horror minecraft webseries) is how it specifically commentates on the importance of being whimsical and having fun in minecraft. this is especially observed between micha and regect in a way i wish people looked into more, because the point of it wasn't just that regect saw micha as someone close to him. they only knew each other for like, the span of five-ish sessions you know. but why micha is specifically important is because they represent childhood whimsy, fun, and love. regect is protective of it, because as someone who is literally designed to Kill and Haunt People, micha showed it the importance of doing what you want in the face of bleakness and adversity.

regect is protective of that side of himself, the one that builds things and has fun with others and finds the simple joys in life. it makes him so, so human, and it explains why he sticks around with moe and z so much. there is so much beauty in watching a monster be so incredibly vulnerable, to the point that he forgets he can fly or teleport because his mannerisms are more similar to z's, a player/human, than that of a monster. his incapacity is so darlingly human.

and z is not exempt from these themes too. i will always talk about how important it is to perceive z AS a human playing minecraft because he specifically needs to make the conscious choice of booting the game to meet up with moe and regect. he can complain all he wants but he literally has the decision to NOT play minecraft - and yet he does anyway.

he is regect's parallel in a way because while regect chases for that human vulnerability, z chases for desensitization. he is often one to shut down his emotions, to "decorate" and make himself look presentable to others, to literally be scared, to not admitting to moe and regect what happened to him in the crater. the eyes entity literally preys on the fact that z masks his humanity to protect himself from the horrors he experiences. z seeks out being unhuman in the same way regect seeks out to be more human.
