“Obviously. Most Egyptians are neither pale, nor do they have a head of fire,” he stared right on back, his golden hues staring into hers. He was studying her, as he did with everyone. “Care to guess my name’s origin? If that is the game we are playing…”
“Obviously.” She said, another smirk playing on her lips. Searching through her encyclopedic mind her eyes came into focus staring into his golden hues. “Greek.” She said. “Meaning age-long, everlasting, without beginning or end. Are you as accurate as your namesake?”
“Impressive,” he said, though he did not sound it. “You are correct, and yes it is one hundred percent accurate. I existed before light was even a thought.”
"Aió̱nios," he stated with smirk. "Is that Egyptian?"
“Aió̱nios,” she repeated with a smile, “it is a pleasure.” Crystalline hues lock with his and her brows rise in surprise; usually people could not tell the origin of her name. “It is indeed, but I am not.” She clarified with a bit of a smirk tugging at her lips.

“…and just who are you supposed to be?”
“Very few people tend to ask me that. Who are you?”
“I am called Aió̱nios, and no, I do not expect you to pronounce it correctly. Now, boy, are you going to actually introduce yourself, or are you going to make me guess your name?”

“Well, well, and who might you be?”
“Maharet.” She smiled warmly with a slight nod. “And you?”
"Aió̱nios," he stated with smirk. "Is that Egyptian?"
The Sire Meets The Queen
Unease broiled in her stomach. Every cell in her body was screaming a warning, one she was not listening to, or at least she would have had it not been for his last statement. It was thing to say he knew her. Many have claimed that much. But his last words rang with an undercurrent of knowledge, knowledge he was dangling over her head.
She did not move, ” Your boy? And who would that be?” Akasha was proud of her evenNess of tone, she exited a calm his presence was quickly undermining.
"Yes, my boy. And, I believe you already know the answer to that question, Akasha.” Aió̱nios grinned. It was not the kind of grin that was in any way pleasant. It was malicious, sinister; the smile of a monster in the guise of a man.
"You spend all night and day with him, and I have to tell you who he is? For shame." He made a tutting noise, shaking his head.
Another icy chill ran down her spine. she wondered how Angelus could have possibly met such a person. He’d been watching them and the thought made her a little sick. Akasha did like the way he referred to Angelus as ‘his boy’, this is where she drew the line. ” I don’t know who you are, but you stay away from Angelus. I don’t care who you are, he’s mine now.” She nearly hissed the words as she moved passed him.
"What a boring suggestion. I have done that for centuries, you know. I have watched him live many different lives, before he finally settling into this one. And I do believe I have hid in the background for long enough," Aió̱nios called out to her, watching her as she walked past him. She was protective of his fledgling. Interesting. "Oh, but you should care who I am, because without me, he would not be the Angelus you know."
"Just let him know the monster’s no longer in his cage. He’ll know what that means, and….so should you."
Would not be the Angelus she knows? She paused mid stride, body tense, her teeth grit tight. It was dawning on her but she couldn’t allow the full knowledge wash over her just yet, best to crumble at home. Not that she even thought it was a safe place any longer. After his last words she willed herself to move and to move quickly resisting the urge to look back.
Aiónios merely smirked and disappeared into the shadows. It would hit her soon enough. He had a feeling, no. He knew he would be seeing the both of them very soon.

“In a rush to get home, are we?” Aió̱nios chuckled hollowly. “No matter. I just wanted to put a face with a name. You may not know me, Akasha, but I know you.”
“Do say hello to my boy for me, will you?” He stepped aside.

Yes?
Cat got your tongue, woman?
Akasha’s eyes narrow.
“No. You are in my way. Kindly step aside.“ She felt the aura of his ‘other-ness’ very acutely.
