Let's talk about colorism for a minute. I mean really talk about it! Colorism is the discrimination against darker skinned people. It is a global issue. You don't have a "preference" for lighter skin. It is not a coincidence your alleged "preference" just so happens to fall right in line with the status quo. That's called conditioning. Colorism doesn't stop at who you want to stick your dick in. Colorism is a systematic scaled belief that darker skinned people are less intelligent and more prone to criminality simply because of the level of melanin in our bodies. Colorism is the reason why Conservatives, (whom were shown two photos of Obama, one light, one dark) picked the lighter one as being "more presentable and trustworthy". Even your enemies, who already hate you will find another reason to hate you more if you simply exist in a darker package. Since we live in a patriarchal society and women are judged by our looks, dark skinned women get the added abuse of being told we are ugly. Doesn't matter if we have rocking features, head turning hair and makeup and are dressed to the nines, in a white supremacist world, dark skin is an automatic disqualifier for beauty. It is interesting how many black males have capitalized on this very slight advantage over dark skinned women. They revel in the fact that they are "desirable" and black women aren't. But let's talk about why that mentality exists. Darkness is simply associated with masculinity not femininity so dark skinned women are unattractive while dark skinned men are "peak" attractiveness. This is the very myopic way of thought that leaves many black males (especially if they're dark) with an exaggerated sense of self confidence and attractiveness. These same men know they can get away with being out of shape, poorly groomed etc simply because this aspect of colorism benefits them ie tall, dark and handsome. Some of these males, no matter how low tier will go out of their way to insult dark skinned women even if that woman is in much better physical condition. They project this ounce of privilege onto black women and gaslight us with the nonsensical, "It's just a preference" or "you can't help who you fall for" (we will get to this fallacy in a minute.) It's interesting how these males think they're entitled to judge us for existing as if our whole worth is contingent on whether or not we can get them off. (Gotta love patriarchy) Meanwhile.. It never crossed their tiny colonized minds that they might not even be attractive to us. Who's to say we want big tittied, short, tattoo faced, GED having, criminal record holding negros? The audacity! It's also the same reason they go out of their way to capitalize on the "light skinned men are feminine" mentality. They associate light skin with women and beauty. They use this line of thought to try and emasculate light skin men because you know it's always a pissing contest with these hypermasculine males. I'd even argue their colorism has them so brainwashed, a lot of them diss light skin men because they are attracted to them as well. Now let's talk about this "You can't help who you fall for" excuse these males use to justify their interracial relationships. Men are the pursuers in the relationships. You take it upon yourself to ask certain women out while ignoring others. You make the conscious choice to do these things so let's stop pretending non black women just fall from the sky directly into your lap and just so happen to be a perfect match for you. Not to mention, many of you consistently date interracially. 9/10 when a black male has a non black partner, she is not the first. You actively seek partners of other races to distance yourself from your blackness. You can pretend love has no color or that you can be pro black dating white but these are just lies you tell yourselves. The fact of the matter is, only black males have to be taught to value their own race and skin tone. Is it a coincidence you are also the least successful males on the planet? You have proven time and time again you are incapable of defending your homestead. It is much easier for you to assimilate into someone elses already established society and you do so by sleeping your way to the top. Ironic how many black males call women hoes when your whole claim to fame is sleeping with white or non black women so you can be accepted in white society for distancing yourself from blackness. The gag is, you're still not accepted. You cosigned your own inferiority by regurgitating the same anti black and anti dark skin rhetoric used to condemn your own existence. You simply thought if you project that onto dark skinned women instead, it would save you. That's not how any of this works. Instead, it has only empowered dark skinned women to shut down any fool who thinks they get to come for us. Meanwhile, you're still dealing with the repercussions of enabling colorism like.. No one wanting to hire you, people calling the police on you, police killing you and hell, you killing each other because even you feel dark skin makes you unworthy. At this rate, white supremacy doesn't even need to wipe you out anymore. You are doing it for them. Congrats. You played yourself. And to the women who capitalize on colorism to elevate themselves, not only are you a disgrace to women but you are just setting yourself up to be a pawn. You are not respected for your humanity. You are just a medium they use to give them "not too black" babies. If you are about "supporting women" like many of you claim, maybe you should check these males instead of being so easily flattered at the degradation of other women. Or don't. But don't come crying about objectification later on when you sat there and allowed other women to be disrespected.
