Hello!!!

I haven’t been active really at all anymore but I saw some new followers and interactions with Freckles Constellations and wanted to say thank you for all the support and kindness, even years later.

I was watching the new To All The Boys film (which features a band I know from my hometown, The Greeting Committee, shout out to them for getting me through since 2014), and I began to miss my fic writing days. I wanted to write something cute and fun, and began to sit down and plot an old idea.

@poguesgold Thank you for bringing attention to this. I checked the comments there and some Kpop fans who have experience with this say to not watch on repeat, and keep the volume at least 50% (but you can still mute the tab or plug headphones in)

I have no experience with this strategy, but as I’ve seen more than one comment there with the same advice I’d assume this is true about YouTube’s algorithm

i understand that not everyone can donate rn even if they really wanted to. i myself am currently unemployed and cannot donate much more than i already have atm !! not donating is okay - pls don’t feel guilty if you do not have the means to do so.

if donating is not a possibility right now, ive found this 1 hour video you can watch on youtube where all proceeds from the ad revenue will go to an organization to help the cause (more info in the video’s description). op has compiled songs and art from Black artists to listen to. you can leave it on to play in the background or plug in earphones and go about your business as usual. it can’t get more simple than that.

There’s a faint pink glow behind your eyelids that you register once you wake up. Eyes still closed, your brows furrow as the pink glow starts to blink—on and off, on and off, on and off. The glow is usually blocked by a body at night, leaving you in a pleasant darkness from the blackout curtains and the navy walls. The color throws you off, makes you blink your eyes open groggily.

5:04 is what the clock says on the nightstand. Your shield is gone, leaving cool, wrinkled sheets in his place. His warmth has long since disappeared. You wonder how long he’s been out of bed.

As you start to become aware of your surroundings, you hear it. A delicate sort of sound filtering into the room, like jasmine flowers blowing in the breeze. Or jasmine flowers breaking off the branch and falling to the ground—in the rain, maybe. Giant, plodding raindrops that crash onto the ground with no restraint. 

But then the tune changes. You lay still in bed and try to name the chords he’s found this morning. It sounds… longing. Wrongfully optimistic, even. Like it’s missing something, grasping at straws for a resolution that doesn’t exist. He picks up a disjointed rhythm, the key signature undefined. These are the melodies that indicate he’s still too far in his head to concentrate properly. After a few more measures, you sigh and push the sheets away so you can get up from the bed.
