A few years ago, while visiting or, rather, rummaging about Notre-Dame, the author of this book found, in an obscure nook of one of the towers, the following word, engraved by hand upon the wall: ANAPKH.

Il y a quelques années qu’en visitant, ou, pour mieux dire, en furetant Notre-Dame, l’auteur de ce livre trouva, dans un recoin obscur de l’une des tours ce mot, gravé à la main sur le mur :  ‘ANÁΓKH.
