There should be a reality show for fanfic writers

And none of them know that the others are fanfic writers.

It would be a bunch of people typing on laptops, and as soon as another person comes near them, they would open a new tab to pretend they aren’t writing fanfiction.

Or they could go the challenge route where writers are given a genre to write and they have to write so many words in a certain amount of time and the best fics make to the next round where they’re given a different set of challenges and so on.

Ohhhh, you’re thinking of a competitive reality show.

Now we’re in a different area that can have prompt challenges that come in halfway through a round that they have to incorporate.

I would be the poor writer that signed up while sleep deprived, then immediately regrets it when I got to the show, only to be relieved when I’m eliminated first.

I wouldn’t even be sleep deprived. I’d just be really excited about it, but the closer I got to it, I’d start freaking out more and more lol.

That’s one of the best parts about fanfic writers, though. They (at least the ones I know and talk to) would completely pause the challenge to help one another calm down or take a breather. Because everyone is in the same boat here.
