This is where the phrase “curiosity killed the cat” actually makes her wonder how many cats died of Surprise Induced Heart Attacks for them to sumise this. It must have been quite a lot and she was gonna be added to the ranks soon.
"You…he…." She just sort of vaguely points at Jimmy and looks at Cas with a face something akin to horror and confusion mixed together. She blinks a few more times, then looks back at Jimmy.
"Cas, yelling isn’t helpful, but you wanna tell us a goddamn bedtime story of where you been, or do you want me to punch you in the face as well?"
Jimmy was pretty sure if he was a turtle he would be so far hidden in his shell no one would be able to find him. Sadly, Jimmy wasn't a turtle, so sadly he had no shell in which to hide -- it was just him and a not so pleased Cas and Shim.
His hand still on his jaw where Cas had socked him he looked to Shimmer and then back to Cas trying to find a good reason as to why he left even after he promised he wouldn't. Sure he could just tell them the truth, but he was pretty sure that would hurt them all more than a lie would.
No. Jimmy knew that the only thing he could do was tell them what happened -- maybe not every last detail, but the main important parts.
