I think perhaps, I should get that fixed. Perhaps I should see someone with the person that’s submitting to me regularly too. She is perfect at being a human. I don’t know if I can be good enough for her. 

PM: If that would make you more comfortable, I’m sure I could speak to the Daltons and get something worked out, especially if we really are just going across the parking lot. Lay it on me, then. I prefer bluntness, it does make things so much easier in my particular profession. Well, that’s quite the statement. What makes you think you aren’t very good at being human? We can talk through that, together. I definitely open to couples therapy, too, sure. Both talk therapy, or sex therapy, if that’s more your speed. Both, if you’re really looking to commit. That’s sweet, but I am positive you both are and can continue to be. Let me know when you two would like to meet, I’m pretty much always free.

I’ve seen both, and they are excellent in my opinion. They were directed by the same guy, too. I think they’re both films you really have to pay attention to, he’s all about those hidden and incredibly subtle messages. Things you’ve really got to watch for or suddenly you’ll miss half the point of the plot. Cute, huh? I said what I said. Sounds good, then. I’ll look forward to seeing you there.

You may have been right, this does sound kind of interesting. What got you thinking this far into sex?

I’m glad something I said here was able to strike some sort of chord. I know this can be a tough topic for some, but that’s why I like to be as open about it as possible. Most of the time, if I have no shame, I find that whomever I’m talking with feels less ashamed themselves. To answer your question though, a lot of things. Starting with- and believe me, I in no way mean this the way it sounds- my father. My father and I have always been very open with each other, meaning that sex and topics pertaining to sex were never labeled as taboo topics. He wanted me to feel as comfortable as possible about coming to him with questions, curiosities, and concerns. So, never having that shameful stipulation attached to the act, I did a lot of reading and research. Have...Pretty much my whole life. I’ve always been interested in the therapy side of things, too. I’ve wanted to be a counselor of some sort since I was about 10. The two interests kind of...Stimulated each other, no pun intended. Then, as I got older, I realized that despite how open people claim to be about sex within our society, that wasn’t always the truth. I realized that for some people, there were issues and shame attached to the act, and frankly that made me sad. Between my research, and my desire to de-stigmatize sex and sexual topics...I just kind of wound up here. I’m passionate about educating, about helping people realize that there doesn’t have to be a huge amount of shame that comes with sexual feelings. I appreciate and cherish the opportunity to help people achieve their sexual goals. I love that I get the chance to help others experience something that is meant to truly be so amazing. May I ask what it is that got you thinking more?

I do enjoy sexual intercourse, of course. But, believe it or not, Sex Therapy isn’t always all about the act of sex itself. Like the post explained, my job encompasses so many different components, even boiling down to communication and intimacy issues. All the things that can lead to issues with sex, but are not necessarily problems with sex itself. I do have a lot to say, you’re right about that. It’s a very important topic, one that is incredibly prevalent in our society. It’s not something that should be kept hush-hush and shoved into the shadows, I fully believe. Though, that’s probably a different discussion for a different time. I’m not sure. It seems that if anyone did, it wasn’t very many people. It’s frustrating, feeling like you’re talking to yourself sometimes. But, I’ll continue to put myself and my information out there for anyone who wishes to utilize it, and to educate themselves.

Alright guys, gals, and nonbinary pals, I know I made my introductory post yesterday. But, today is a brand new day, and I’m ready to get to work! So, I’ll start by telling you all a little more about myself (riveting, I know) and what I do! This means I’ll be going a little more in-depth regarding what my job is, what that entails, and the variety of services I offer! 

Now, as I said, I do have both my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Clinical Psychology. After graduating with my Masters, I pursued my specialization in Sex Therapy. But, what exactly does that mean? Traditionally, a Sex Therapist is someone who focuses on sexual problems individuals may encounter through psychotherapy. Sex Therapists focus on issues such as sexual function, sexual feelings, intimacy issues, concerns about arousal, sexual orientation, painful intercourse, and difficulty or inability to experience an orgasm- just to name a few. A vast array of sexual and intimacy issues can be covered in therapy, however. Traditionally speaking, Sex Therapy is 100% verbal, and involves nothing physical. However, studies have shown that in some cases, traditional verbal sex therapy alone did not support full, long term recovery. In recent years, a new subsect of Sex Therapy has emerged. This is known as Surrogate Partner Therapy. Becoming certified in this takes hundreds of hours of mentorship and training, as well as a board certification test, all of which I have also completed. Surrogate Partner Therapy takes the concept of Sex Therapy one step further, and incorporates methods of physicality. And yes, this type of therapy can lead to intercourse between therapist and patient, depending on the specific patient and what their therapy needs and goals are. SPT is designed to assist patients with reaching their physical sexual goals. This can be anything from the ability to maintain eye contact during conversation, the ability to feel and act comfortably on a date, getting used to skin-on-skin contact, and for a small percentage, guided intercourse. Some therapists even offer cuddling and service sessions, and walk through scenes with their patients. 

Whew, that was a lot of academic mumbo-jumbo to throw, I know. Thanks for sticking with me! So, in the grand scheme of thingsm the real question is this: what does this mean for all of you lovely residents, and in what ways are you able to utilize my services? To put things simply, I am here for any and all of the above. Below, you will find a list of services I am licensed to offer. I want to take the time to remind each of you that this is all purely therapy based. Sessions with me are judgement free, 100%, and absolutely confidential. Regardless of your personal course of therapy, our relationships are and shall remain totally doctor-patient. So, all of that being said, I can’t wait to begin scheduling sessions and assisting you all in getting to the place that you want to be.  Services Offered -Talk therapy covering topics such as (but not limited to) concerns about sexual desire and arousal, concerns or questions regarding sexual orientation, impulsive or compulsive sexual behaviors, erectile concerns, premature ejaculation concerns, difficulty with sexual arousal, trouble reaching orgasm, painful intercourse, intimacy issues, concerns regarding past sexual experiences -Surrogate Dates -Cuddling Therapy -Scenework (Dominant or submissive) -Touch Therapy -Guided Intercourse Therapy

On top of all that, you can also expect to see frequent posts from me regarding sex and sex-related topics. Ultimately, my goal is and always will be to educate. We live in a society where sex should not be stigmatized. There should be no embarrassment, or hesitation when it comes to topics such as these. Still, somehow, there is. I am here to help as much as possible, in any way I can. So, don’t be shy! I am available! Oh, and, while I’m thinking about it- I will also be teaching all sections of classes for Switches!
