Quirk Name: Cold flames– Shadow Lurking (alternatively known as Dark Star)
The user can shift their physical body into a "Shadow State", rendering them completely invulnerable to physical harm or let them disappear enterly into shadows/darkness, making them intangible and highly elusive. While in this form, the user can freely glide through ambient shadows in the human world or shortcut through a parallel dimension made of darkness.
This quirk also grants enchanted vision in the dark and accelerated physical regeneration when going full shadow mode. Intangibility and dark-state properties can be applied selectively to specific limbs or body parts.
Yet it leaves the user acutely vulnerable to concentrated, high-intensity light sources, especially light based quirks.
Beyond dimensional manipulation, the Quirk acts as a bridge to a realm of dark, sentient entities. The user can summon and form symbiotic pacts with these interdimensional shadow creatures, who serve as loyal guardians in exchange for manifestation in the living world. However, constant exposure to this dimensional threshold passively bleeds into the user's physical appearance — most notably marked by a permanent shock of white hair.

Part of the backstory: Adler and her friend joined Class 1-A through an international exchange program between U.A. High and their Ukrainian school (there are schools from other countries in that program too). They were on summer vacation in Japan when they received notification from their school about the opportunity, which required them to pass a specialized entrance exam (separate from the general admissions test).
The moment they read email, both felt a shift in the course of destiny. Adler and her friend — whom we’ll call Corvus for now — possess powers that can alert them to major impending events (side effect). Sensing that something critical was coming and that they needed to be there, they agreed to enroll. They also warned their friends: as a result, two joined U.A.’s second-year course, while two others were already planning to enter Shiketsu High.
