born in 2001

currently attending unnamed university for a degree in computer programming

younger sister of lee minhwan, a former idol of babyish fame (early 2010s, his group debuted somewhat well but the company sank due to lack of funding, they were only around for maybe about 3yrs max and faded into obscurity)

works at an electronics store and has a side hustle building custom pcs

not a mean girl but accidentally gives off those vibes constantly due to rbf and her preference to dress professionally almost all the time

grew up as one of those kids you'd see doing mildly dangerous stuff and wonder to yourself if their parents were okay with any of this - present but absent types

definitely wants to be an idol rapper, and follow in her brother's footsepts

chronic overachiever and is lowkey really competitive (not quite stab you in the back to get ahead type, but would toe that line to the point you doubted her loyalty if you're not close)

loves adventures and trying new things, very spontaneous and 100% the friend you'd call to go cliff diving at 1am

jinae has learned recently (after lots of soul searching), that in order to enjoy life, she should live it the way that she wants to; avoiding people that discourage her and trying everything at least once. which meant that when not so subtle advertisements for auditions came around, there wasn’t a question of if, but with what song. freshly retouched hair is perhaps a giveaway of the villain arc that jinae has decided to pursue, and here’s a chance to change even more. picking a song proved to be challenge enough. she’s capable of most talents, being decent enough to be seen as a good performer by any means, especially after all the practice she's had through failed auditions, talent showcases, and pure practice. but finding a song fitting enough was another problem. thankfully, one of her favorite girl group members had debuted solo, and her music was just up jinae’s alley. it had been a song she had covered for a class before, which helped speed up the learning process enough that by the time she felt ready enough to upload, it was polished, and nearly flawless in her eyes.

after pressing record and she centers herself, she finds her favorite micro-scratch on her camera's lens and focuses. her voice is stable, if not a slightly higher timbre than the original singer's natural pitch, but the pacing of the song provides ample time to prepare for the rap (she’s a little rusty, but thankful that the rap for wannabe was less speed rapping and more lyrical, something she’s proven herself capable of before). it’s confident in its nature, the end promising a happy ending and being happy with a changed self, and it’s something jinae relates to on every level, and it shows. and in the middle of her performance when she should be focusing on getting everything right, she realizes that this is exactly how she would prefer to make a first impression.
