My Artist Statement 10/08/23
Model Drawing 2 08/08/23
The second one is the Patio Door. The lines and working angles in the painting of artist O'Keeffe illustrated formal geometry. the painting and scans are done perfectly, the artist has his own uses. He narrated this house, which was a slave trade center, while drawing it. The perception of depth in the painting goes towards infinity. He expressed it as the outer door to hope.
Lastly, the message in the paintings of the painter serves the audience with the cleanest and oldest version that can be found.
On our second day at Parsons, we went to The Museum of Modern Art and I would like to talk about two works of Georgia O'Keeffe that I was impressed with.
The first one is Goat's Horns with Blue. O'Keeffe has framed the infinity of the sky, the locust bean borders. I think the shading in the picture means that one side is night and the other side is daytime. Although the spiral image on the goat horn is 2D, it feels 3D. The scans in the painting show the depths of O'Keeffe's art. The intensities and depths of blue have added softness to the painting. The color tones in the goat horn remind us of the eternity in security. In my opinion, everything black and round in the picture leads to the belief that it has a center in this life.
Secondly, I will talk about Joyful Woman. The body language of the woman in the picture really feels the dance. The harmony of colors, the vitality and the emphasis of the light are beautifully created in the shaping of the picture. The background is left plain and we focus on the feeling that the woman gives us. In short, the dance of death hiss a lot to the children.
Overall, I have chosen works that affect and make me think a lot, you can feel the painting in both of them. A lot of love went to support the production.
Day 5 at Parsons, we went to the Morgan Library & Museum. I want to talk about 2 works.
First, I'll talk about the Study for "Female Eurhythmy" or "Emotion" 1895-96 or after 1902(?). The artist generally used 2 color tones to express flowers arising from a certain rhythm and unity within them. I think the vaguely intense color layers in between give the impression of 3D. These layers are observed in some of them as the ways of human beings in nature.
The similarity of the skin and hair color of the woman in the picture and the colors in the flower tones shows the harmony and the harmony between nature and human beings.
Trying new methods for my Portfolio Project
4th day fabric drawing and fabric drawing on the model
On the 4th day, we had a model drawing. We started with the blind contour model drawing, then we did it by looking, but in a short time we made as a sketch and finally we had a detailed model drawing.
On day 4, Ideation for Portfolio Project
Day 2 at Parsons, Object Study
Day 1 Found Object Collage at Parsons. I made a collage of objects that reflects me.
In the first day at Parsons, we blind-contour our partner. It was very creative and fun.
