At least he could admit one thing. The change of scenery was different than what he was use to. It was still frustrating that he was sent on this mission rather than someone from the lower ranks. A captain was necessary, and he was the only one available. With him and some other members out on this watch and patrol, he would at least be able to have plenty of eyes out while also getting a good idea of how this village worked. The unfortunate part was how much ground he had to cover on this.
Sighing, he stepped into the village after giving a passport to the gate gaurds. Something made up for this particular mission having him there on small business. With his gigai to blend in, he wore an attire similar to a normal villager. At least that was how it looked. Turquoise hues danced along the structures of the village as he couldn’t help but be a little impressed. Far better than what he grew up in, but it almost had a similar feel. Either way, he had something to do. Too bad it was just exploring the village and getting an idea of the grounds.
“At least this place isn’t too warm despite reports,” he muttered as he walked along with eyes still looking over. From what he could tell, he was in a much busier area. He would have to watch himself carefully.

As much as she wanted to, she resisted the urge to knock into him again and make it a competition. The urge was definitely short lived, though, and she turned to look at him. There were times she forgot that he was on some sort of mission. Biting on her bottom lip the brunette pushed a smile to the surface.
“What kinda research are you doing? Maybe I could help you out with something!!”
“The effects of pokemon and the effects they have on the world. Some pokemon do not pose much of an impact on the world, but there are some with power that is beyond that of a Shinigami. Power that can alter a world or even destroy it. Based on your legends, everything was created by a single pokemon, Arceus. Arceus would bring forth the three pokemon you call the Lake Trio: Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie. Three pokemon that brought for will, emotion, and knowledge to humanity. That’s only the beginning, too.” Hitsugaya explained what knowledge he had obtained which did help with him being on Snowpoint. He was close to the cave that one of the Lake Trio pokemon would stay. He hadn’t bothered visiting or trying to. His reason was simple ... Some things did not need to be messed with.
“One big threat that exists in this region would be Groundon and Kyogre, the ones responsible for land and water. I heard about some idiots attempts at catching them and causing some trouble, so I want to make sure something like that does not happen, again.” Sighing, his head would look down as he gave it a bit of thought. He was one guy, and he had a LOT of legendary troubles ahead of him if he was to keep everything in balance. Plus, he’d be absolutely powerless against Groudon from what he heard. If it could dry up the atmosphere, his abilities were useless.
“I’m here for you. I’ll keep you safe. I’m not going to lose you a second time.”
“You idiot... Get out of here. If I’m failing this bad, what makes you think you’d do any better? Just leave... I have one last shot, but I can’t have you nearby or... I may...”
rescued/escaped hostage starter sentences
“Calm down, calm down. It’s me! You’re not where you think you are, you’re safe with me at home.” “You need to snap out of it, it’s a flashback. Nobody is going to hurt you anymore, trust me!” “Help! I need help! Call the police, please. Help me! Don’t let him/her find me! I escaped, but he/she’s after me!” “Listen, listen. You are going to be okay. He/she is locked away for good, alright?” ”It’s a very strange idea that someone will spend the rest of their life in prison because of what they did to me.” ”I don’t want her/him to go to prison. She/he did it because she/he loved me.” “Can you please tell me what happened while you were… gone?” ”I never stopped thinking about you.” ”The police told me it would be best to assume you were dead, because of what might be happening to you otherwise… But I could never convince myself.” “We kept your bedroom the way it always was… I understand if you’d want it changed, but I want you to know that we never lost hope that you’d come back home.” “Is that– Is that really you? Oh my god! I can’t believe it’s you!” “How do you feel after your first night home?” “The police will need to ask you about what happened… but maybe you want to tell us first? You haven’t said a thing since we got you back!” “We have imagined the worst things that could have happened to you. Please just tell us so we can try to move on and help you.” “Shh, it was a nightmare. You’re in your own bedroom.” “If you want to start living your old life, you’re going to have to start putting what happened to you behind you.” “I can never be who I used to be! I was gone for years! And you expect me to go through some therapy and have my old life back?! That’s never going to happen!” ”Were you scared all the time? Or… or did you get used to it?” ”I’m not even sure what I’d rather hear, that you were always afraid or that you actually liked it there.” “Nothing happened. I just ran away. I was sick of being here. I just made it up to sound interesting.” “Will you please come out of your bedroom… I know you’re probably not comfortable with the amount of space after what you’re used to, but please try…” “I’m here for you. I’ll keep you safe. I’m not going to lose you a second time.” “Shh, it’s okay! It’s normal to have flashbacks, but you have to try to focus on me now.” “You can’t go back there! Are you insane? Why do you want to?!”
Giggling, she nudged against him. “I get tired sometimes, too. Anyway, what are you doing around here?”
“Hard to imagine, but it anything is possible.” He spoke out, giving her a light push in response to the nudge. “I’m actually here doing some research. As much as I like to stay at Snowpoint, I know there are other areas I need to explore. Plus, I believe Glaceon wanted a bit of scenery as well.”
She sat up from the grass she was lying on, blinking once at him. “Nothing, why?”
“... Nothing. It’s nothing,” he spoke as he would take a seat next to her with his eyes staring off. “So what are you doing out here, anyways? Rare sight to see you at rest rather than up and moving.”
“Promise the pain, the valor, the rage Hold up your hands for the bow and the wave…
–You know his touch a little too well.”
“Hm?” Attention grabbed, the white-haired boy was staring at the girl as she seemed to be in thought about something.
“What’s going on, May?”
“GET OFF!! YOU’RE CRUSHING ME!!”
🌸 – She begins to kick and scream.
“You whine too much, and you’re over-exaggerating. If I was actually crushing you, you wouldn’t be talking..” he wasn’t convinced..
🌸 – And then she turned around, facing away with her bottom lip jutting out in a pout.
“You’re not the boss of me. I’m gonna roll around all I want.”
And then he decides to plop right down, sitting on her back. That should be enough to stop the rolling. “Oh really? Whatever you say, May.”
🌸 – She rolled over, and over, and over, and over until she was out of his reach.
“Whhhyyyyyy–??”
“Because your not an animal. Stop rolling around.” Would walk after her to poke, but that is too much effort for something so silly.
🌸 – Quietly proceeds to sprawl herself onto the floor and roll over.
“UUUUUUUUUGH—”
“...”
He proceeds to jab her with the disguised stick....
A snowy mountain
🌸 – Her blue eyes stayed on him, unwavering as he dodged her question. She thought this was something she should know–she would have hoped that he would have looked for her. She couldn’t help but feel a little hurt by it all. Biting at her lip, she pouted and crossed over to her Altaria.
“Obviously not. –Otherwise we wouldn’t be so turned around…”
Even here, May’s sense of direction had never been the best. Her Altaria hadn’t had any luck find its way either. They were used to different settings, warmer, less snowy areas. The brunette didn’t blame the Pokemon for getting confused. Many times she had imagined how it must be for her Pokemon being in one area, then suddenly being called out of their pokeballs and being in a completely different region.
She called Altaria back into her pokeball, and followed close behind Toshirou. She’d glance at his hand every now and then, almost wanting to reach for it just to make sure he was there and saving her again. But running into him had been only a coincidence, she hadn’t been looking for him and he hadn’t been looking for her. Even if he disappeared, wouldn’t she just go back to how she’d been only an hour ago?
Sighing, May slouched for a second before speeding up to walk besides him.
“How far is it?”
“It isn’t too far of a walk, but the conditions will make it feel like an eternity. Especially when this is suppose to become stronger,” he spoke out, his eyes glancing behind him. She wasn’t prepared for this kind of frozen hell, and he knew things would get worse if things continued on as it did. He wasn’t even sure if they would beat the weather. In fact, Glaceon’s call told him that they were not going to make it. She could sense it, and so could he.
“We aren’t going to make it before the full front of this blizzard hits,” he spoke out as he reached his hand up behind him to grab a rather large stick that was attached to his back. With a pull on it, the attachment that was around him vanished and the stick would be held off to the side. “One thing I am thankful for is that something like this can be thought of from a force from pokemon. So please keep this to yourself, May. I know you want to ask me questions, but our lives are at stake. I’ll answer whatever I need to once we get you to the Pokemon Center. For now ... Keep this to yourself.”
“Reign over the Frozen Heavens ...” he spoke out as the snow began to rush toward the stick and spin around the object until a familiar sword would be in place. “Hyorinmaru...!” With his sword active, he would draw the sword back and thrust it forward. Two dragons of ice would come from both sides of him in order to create a tunnel of ice for a passage way to lead them close enough to the city.
“This will last us. Come on, let’s go..” Hitsugaya spoke as he began on into the tunnel, his Glaceon following behind as if nothing had happened.
A snowy mountain
She wouldn’t admit it, but he was right. Laying in the snow was definitely a bad call, even for her. She pushed herself away from him, sitting at first before struggling to her feet. As soon as she was standing, she bent over to grab his hand and help him up. She knew that he didn’t need the help, but she felt like he could disappear at any given moment, and needed to keep some sort of physical contact.
Altaria, completely used to this sort of thing from her trainer, sat patiently and preened at her feathers for a second before turning to the Glaceon and squawking.
“I was tryin’ to get to the Pokemon Center– but shouldn’t I be the one asking that?!”
An annoyed sigh escaped the boy as he was helped up to his feet by his dear friend. Getting his footing back in the snow, he whistled out to Glaceon who moved over to stand beside her trainer.
“Well, you’re not doing a very good job at that now are you? Do you realize how far off you are? Not only that but this storm is only going to worsen. Here I was hoping I’d get back before it did,” he only aimed to tease her any more with the fact he was refusing to acknowledge that he was there doing this in the first place.
“Lead the way, Glaceon. Get us back to Snowport...” he spoke out with the pokemon turning around and starting to walk. Hitsugaya would start walking as well, expecting her to follow.
A snowy mountain
How she hadn’t recognized him by his hair alone was beyond her, but it had blended with the snowy surroundings it hadn’t been the first thing she’d even noticed. The first thing she noticed was that it was another person that could help her get out of this dang snow. it wasn’t until she was face to face with him that she stopped dead in her tracks. Altaria, taking note of her trainer’s sudden reaction, slowed and flapped her fluffy wings not quite sure how to react.
And just like that, as if the snow wasn’t anything anymore, May ran towards him. She collided with him, throwing her arms around him and effectively toppling them both into the snow. Her face buried against his shoulder as she pretended that the cold wasn’t bothering her.
“Don’t start charging me; I’ll go broke..”
Her words were muffled by his jacket. He seemed to be more prepared than she was, as per usual–however, she didn’t know what he was doing here. Hadn’t he gone back to his one world when she was sent here? The brunette didn’t know that she’d ever see him again, so now that he was here… May didn’t know what to make of it.
“Er-Hey! May! Don’t!”
and now they were both in the snow and the girl was on top of him, burying her face into his shoulders. For someone that hated the cold, she did not hesitate to shove them both down. He wasn’t bothered too much, but he knew it wouldn’t be good for either of them if they stayed like this for too long. Glaceon was just sitting now with a look that showed very much confusion. Hitsugaya wouldn’t blame her in the slightest.
“Well, you’re either going to go broke or you’re going to freeze to death laying on top of me. You cannot tell me you are actually warm like this,” he poked some fun at her, not even trying to move. Despite that he was stronger, she was still taller than him. Not only that, but his only option was to throw her into the snow. He would not do that. As tempting as it was...
“I won’t charge you, but I will ask you how it is you came out here and got lost...”
