one thing about “A Pale Rose” I noticed is how 100% done Steven is with Pearl’s shit. He seems pretty much done with anything to do with the gems at all. In early seasons he was so desperate to learn as much as he could, and now he just seems so jaded and traumatised that he just kinda bitterly wanders around in Pearl’s mind like ‘i dont wanna fuckin be here c’mon pearl why are we at this again.’

Like i feel sorry for Pearl and all but I’d like the kid to get just one day without being reminded that everything would have been better if he was never born. Look at this face. He’s practically making this face the whole episode:
