Dear Mun
(Note to self: tag later. I'm on mobile. Oops.)---Dear Ansley,I must question your strange ways of doubting yourself. You deserve much more credit than you give yourself, it's a wonder you handle your mental illnesses so well. I wish for you the best and the hopes that the calumny you face and the chaos in your life comes to a close. I appreciate your portrayal of me and the effort you put into all that you do. Sincerely yours,Blake Belladonna
Do it.
I will write about the following, leave one in my ask box.
Dear person I hate,
Dear person I like,
Dear ex boyfriend,
Dear ex girlfriend,
Dear ex bestfriend,
Dear bestfriend,
Dear *anyone*,
Dear Santa,
Dear mom,
Dear dad,
Dear future me,
Dear past me,
Dear person I’m jealous of,
Dear person I had a crush on,
Dear girlfriend,
Dear boyfriend,

Sun couldn’t help but feel confused at Blake’s embarrassment. While it was a return to her usual attitude towards compliments, wasn’t she the one who initiated the flattery this time? Oblivious to her mistake he continued “I know I have amazing good looks but if you want someone to compliment, you should probably look in the mirror”
The mood’s shifting and Blake tries desperately to ignore it, shaking off the awkwardness of her misstep. “Thanks, Sun.” She says, followed by a slight smile. If he thought anything of the change in dynamic, he did little to show it. For that, she was grateful. The last thing she wanted was to mess up her relationship with him. “Do you want to get lunch with me?”
“Sure,” he answered while hoping his expression wasn’t giving away his giddiness. Not only did he like the idea of eating with Blake but he also never carried money for food and he didn’t really feel like stealing today “I can’t pay though. Where are you thinking?”
“I was thinking the usual place up the street,” she grins. He’s obviously excited and she feeds off of it, mirroring the happiness on his face. He’s such a sweetheart, she’s happy things are going so well. “And I don’t mind paying, Sun.”
Sun felt kind of bad that Blake was paying yet again. She was always so generous to him and he knew that he tended to take it for granted. He made a mental note to thank her more often. “Thanks, I’ll definitely make it up to you. Shall we go then? All this talk of food is already making me hungry”
“Don’t worry about it, Sun. I don’t mind,” she says softly. The thanks is appreciated, but she doesn’t mind anything. Sun is Sun, and she cares for him because of it. “We should get going, though.”
“Sure” They set off down to their favourite place to eat but Sun’s mind was wondering how he could make it up to her. Maybe he could get her a present? Wait, that would involve spending money he didn’t have or stealing which he knew Blake hated. She was always telling him he that he should read more, maybe he could surprise her by reading that ninja book she seems to love. This idea occupied his mind so much that it caused him to believe that the pole he was rapidly approaching must be someone else’s problem. With a clang, it suddenly became his problem.
Blake jumps at the clang, turning to see Sun looking dazed and confused. “Sun– Are you okay?” She doesn’t know what to do, eyes going wide. She puts a hand carefully on his shoulder, trying to steady him. “Do we need to stop for a minute?”
“Nah, I’m oka-” Sun stopped mid sentence, a devilish smile appearing on his face “Whoa, actually I don’t feel so good. I’ll probably make it but I feel kinda unstable. Maybe if I had something to hold on to…..” he trailed off, hoping his message was received loud and clear.
“Oh, if only,” she says, sarcastic tone to her voice. She takes Sun’s hand in hers, the somewhat neutral look on her face lightening up with a soft smile. He’s so cheesy, especially with things like this. It warms her heart. “Feeling any better, Sun?”
Happy that he had gotten his way, Sun smirked and swung their hands playfully “You know what, I feel much better!” he exuded optimism in almost every syllable “But I don’t think we should stop, I’m a walking disaster. We might even have to keep holding on during lunch. Y’know, for safety”
“Oh, of course. I wouldn’t dream of leaving you without support after such a terrible accident,” she laughs softly, sarcasm in her voice but affection in her eyes. “Maybe we should sit right next to each other. You can lean on me if you need.” There’s another little chuckle as they walk and she can feel the joy radiating off of him in waves. It’s glorious.
“Well if you’re offering, I can’t really say no” is what his words said but his expression seemed to be thanking every deity known to man and faunus. He loved how Blake played along with his lame jokes and from what he could see, she reveled in it. Making her laugh made all of the effort behind the joke worth it.
They finally reach the small restaurant, door held open for her by someone leaving. It’s past lunch so there aren’t too many people inside, and they’re able to get a pretty okay table. She slides into the booth on one side with a little huff. “It’s super quiet in here today. Weird.”
Still holding Blake’s hand, Sun paused before going into the booth. The seat opposite Blake was completely trashed; The staff must not have been able to clean it yet. Sun wasn’t a clean freak but he didn’t want somebody’s leftover meal on his jeans. It looked like he had no choice but to take Blake up on her earlier offer and sit very close to her in the small space available. He squeezed into her side of the booth and replied “At least we’ll probably get quick service unlike usual”
She watches him deliberately slide into the seat beside her, and can't help but shake her head. She supposed that yes, she did offer, and it wasn't like she was disgusted by the action anyway. "You think so? I'm not sure. They're typically so slow..."

She can’t help but flush slightly, shaking her head. He’s so blunt about it, she doesn’t quite know what to do with herself. She doubts he realizes it, how romantic the implications are. While she wants to take t to heart like that, she knows it’s likely he didn’t mean for it to come out that way.
“Yeah, it’s a lot better like this,” she says, eating some of the food. She doesn’t eat too much, she’s not incredibly hungry, just happy to be with him. “Thank you, by the way.”
“Oho~ Is that blushing I see?” Jaune teased, he figured she was coming down with a cold but it was fun pretending. “Falling for the old Arc charm, eh?” Jaune bursts out laughing. Charm, him? A skunk was more charming than him, he thought to himself. He eats his food at rapid pace because hunger made his stomach growl and roar with a ferocity that could’ve been mistaken for a cat hissing at someone.
“Thank you? For what? I just thought you needed cheering up, everyone deserves pick-me-ups. Especially you, with that sad face that screamed to me, ‘Give me a hug.’” Jaune gently pokes the Cat Faunus in the head with his pointer finger and middle finger. “And I didn’t know if you’d be down for a socially awkward mess such as myself just giving you a hug out of blue. The mental image is pretty fun, now that I think about it. Seriously thought, don’t worry about it. I’d like to think you’d return the favor if I was feeling down.”
She can’t believe how, well, fantastic he is. He’s strong, sure, but there’s more to him than just a cute face. Something about him is more complimentary than usual tonight, and the little bit of heat in her cheeks flames as he points it out. “I just appreciate having you around, Jaune. Everything from you is welcomed with open arms, whether it’s splitting food or hugs.”
She’s able to laugh a bit at the poke, taking a few bites of her chips before continuing on. “I’d always return the favor, I’m happy you know that.” She leaves it there, not wanting to divulge too much of her feelings in the middle of a cafeteria. That’s better saved for somewhere more private if she’s ever going to say anything. (And god, does she want to.)

“Oh, sure.” There’s silent relief in him not hearing her, and she watches him go, sighing as he leaves. What’s a girl to do when a boy is clueless? She tries to push it out of her mind. They could have a nice, platonic, shared meal, right? Just ignore how his hair falls so perfectly in his face, how gorgeous and kind his eyes are, how brilliant his smile is… God, she’s already daydreaming again. By the time he’s back, she’s mostly snapped out of it.
“So, let’s talk about how cute you and I obviously are.” Jaune came with another plate with a plastic knife, spoon, fork, spork, straw, fifty napkins, and 10 packets of salt and pepper. “So I call you cute and you call me cute. I think we could make a cute team. I’ll be the leader and you can be the co-leader. We’ll recruit Ruby, Penny, Velvet, and any other being that is classified as cute.” Jaune laughs, the awkwardness melting away.
He splits his food in half and shoves it all on her plate in one sweeping motion. He sits back down and starts eating his food and grabbing some of hers. “Okay, I am extremely glad we came up with this idea. This food tastes so much better when you’re with someone you care about.” Jaune probably meant it platonically but it sure as hell came out as romantic. Not that he noticed the implication.

“Share? Um… Sure.” She says, and it sounds more like a question than an answer. She had grabbed some fruit and a bag of chips and as she looked over at the mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese and questioned how they were seriously going to share. She opens her bag of chips and offers it toward him.
“Take as much as you want, we can always go back for more.” He’s being incredibly shy, more than she’s ever seen. Was this about earlier? Had she made it awkward somehow? God, she was screwing everything up. “A-And, um, you’re a cutie, too,” she says, quiet and a little rushed. Maybe that’ll fix things? She hopes so.
“Hang on, let me go grab an extra plate for you. Unless you don’t mind eating from my plate. I’m cool with that.” He hands her a spare spoon and waits for her response. While he waits he checks his scroll for messages from his team. Pyrrha’s asking for groceries, Nora is begging him to make pancakes, Ren is asking help with strategy homework. He can deal with that later.
