This is a crazy quilted laptop sleeve prototype I made. This was completely done by hand and I learned a lot. Overall it looks really nice on the outside but I made some mistakes. I’m definitely only going to make one side crazy quilted in the future and bag line the inside for a cleaner finish. All in all, pretty solid project and I hope to have these in the shop later in the year after working out the kinks.

Bit of crazy quilting I'm working on. This is separate from my quilt. It's a project that I'm making for a friend. Planning to make a laptop sleeve, but....I might have gotten the sizing wrong. As per usual, it's hand-sewn and embroidered.
I've made some amanita muscarias, blue roundhead, black chanterelle, plantpot dapperling, parrot's toadstool, indigo milk cap mushrooms, and more . Just posted these lovelies my website and etsy for sale. I'm really happy with these little guys.
I've been experimenting with acrylic markers for a few days. It's an interesting medium and I'm slowly getting the hang of it. I'm probably gonna design stickers and make some prints later in the year.
I thought I had pictures of this crendenza before I started working on it, but they seem to be missing. I've had this piece for a while, and it had been horribly damaged through multiple moves. One of the legs was completely broken, another breaking, and there were dings and scratches all over. I had to repair everything and now you can't even tell that there were issues with the legs. I stained it with a black gel stain so that some of the natural wood can show, but that it was dark enough that you for sure wouldn't see any of the repairs that I made. And I found these adorable knobs on Etsy. Reminds me of E.A. Poe's "Goldbug." Pretty proud. This is only the second piece of furniture I've ever made over (and I really want to re-do the first one).
WIP. I'm still plugging away at this crazy quilt. I've wanted to make a quilt for years, but struggle with geometric patterns. This allows for creativity and spontaneity that doesn't really exist with a more geometric pattern. The embroidery stitches are the most ornate but also practical part of this project. Since I'm also doing the entire thing by hand (like a maniac), those embroidery stitches ultimately reinforce all my back-stitching and help to prevent the possibility of anything coming apart.
Guess what OP is making -entirely handmade and requires high precision. (cr 白行简bai xingjian)
I finally finished that one pencil cup and then made some more.
I've been working on a bunch of hooks for an upcoming market, and then I have 6 more market days later in the year. These are a few of the hooks I've made and have been completed with a layer of UV resin for strength and to seal/protect the paint. I've been researching and learning so much about mushrooms in the process, and I hope to one day see some of these guys in the wild.
So, mushrooms they're based on from the top: Jack 'O' Lantern mushroom (toxic and bioluminescent); Indigo Milk Cap; Pixie's Parasol; Leptonia Carnea (only in CA); Witch's Hat or Blackening Waxcap (they start out yellow-orange and darken as they age, black being when they're fairly old); Black Chanterelle or Black Trumpet (toxic); Parrot's Toadstool; and, Green Brittlegill.
I got the idea for this prototype of a tree pencil holder. I decided to try this out on a can just to see what it was like to sculpt tree bark and shelf mushrooms. I still need to paint it and add moss, but it turned out pretty OK. I think I'll make more of these for my shop, but that'll be sometime in the future.
It's been a really interesting few weeks and I fell behind on applying UV resin on all the amanitas. But, I've made 20 witch's hat mushrooms, made some keychain sculptures, and painted some jack o' lantern mushrooms (though I still need to apply a layer of glow-in-the-dark paint too). Super excited to have these ready before Samhain.
These are some of the amanita muscaria mushroom hooks I've been plugging away at. I've weathered one and decided to take a shot comparing it to what they look like in their stark, brightly colored glory before that process. I'll have these in the shop by the end of next week: belladonnanongrata.shop. There's some yellow and orange mushroom hooks styled after a multitude of different types of 'shrooms in the world in there now.
Progress shots of a Victorian style crazy quilt that I'm making. I loved the idea but wanted to add some botanical elements, to blend forest themes with more gothic elements from my personal style.
I think I'm going to embroider some mushrooms and moss in different areas too. Possible a tree or something. We'll see. I've done everything by hand in an effort to improve my hand sewing skills. This is also a test run for some potential ideas I have for my shop later on.
Finally finished painting the yellow, orange, and brown mushroom hooks. About to start the red and black ones. I think these turned out pretty well.
Currently working on new mushroom hooks to upload into my shop. Got some amanita muscaria and chanterelle mushrooms here. Planning to hopefully update the shop with a bunch of new things at the end of May or June.
